Ok, now don't the wrong impression, this is a fun game, and I enjoy it. BUT AND A HUGE BUT The community I've encountered is totally toxic. Win a match against the host? Kicked. Land a snipe? Kicked. Someone even slightly accuses you of hacking? Kicked. Land a shot the host can't because he sucks? Kicked. Use a weapon host hasn't unlocked? Kicked. These are all the things I've encountered time and time again and its tiring. I like this game, I really do, but majority of the players are butthurt too easily, and childish af The community is toxic as hell, the game itself is fine but the community ruins it for me. Until the community grows up, its not very enjoyable unless you like slamming your head into a brick wall.Show moreShow less

The game is not worth it anymore, there is just so many cheaters now in the game, using this thing called "ssundee ruler". The youtuber Ssundee has made this ruler and when you shoot you would not miss, so F(_)CK TO THE PEOPLE WHO USES THIS RULER LIKE A LITTLE B:TCHShow moreShow less
Remembered playing this game in high school, but it's name back then was called "Scorched Earth" . Was great back then, and with the new stuff now is even better. 10/10 Still love blowing up tanksShow moreShow less
Now before you judge me for Not recommending this game please, give me the chance to explain. SSL (Or Shellshock Live) is a fantastic game, hand down it's great and I clearly remember the browser game I played for over a decade ago. If you're at all even the least interested in this game I strongly suggest buying it! ''Why did you not recommend it then you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!'' Well it's because of a very game breaking bug this great game has, it has been a problem the developers simply dosn't seem to be able to fix. However it dosn't affect everyone, it affects an unknown amount of people but for the people who does have this bug the game is flat out unplayable. It's slowly getting know as the connect bug or the infinet connect bug. In short it's simply your game that disconnect every few minutes (Even in singleplayer), deeming the game unplayable. If you experience this bug don't get your hopes up for a fix, no fix have been found and the developers have tried to fix it since it first arose...Show moreShow less

As much as I like this game, I seriously can't give it a recommendation in good conscience. I've been playing it for a decent while so I'm at a satisfactory point, so why am I saying I don't recommend the game? Easy. This is probably the most unfriendly game towards newer players that I've ever seen. First and foremost, playing with randoms here is a nightmare. They're usually not very welcoming people, usually very toxic, and are mostly only going to want to join lobbies for EXP grinding, which takes a long time by the way, so that option's out the window. What if they want to play with friends that have been playing for some time? Well too bad, should've joined them at the same time they started playing, because you're going to be severely under equipped while your friends painfully outclass you and destroy you every game. Sure, there's single player content to help with leveling a little bit, but it doesn't get you too far, and after that leveling is only possible in multiplayer. Newer players simply have zero chance that it's not even funny. If they want to catch up, then just waste a massive chunk of your life grinding in multiplayer, easy right? I might be at a point where the game is fun to play on my end, but this game is simply way too unfun for newer players because the weapon balancing between early level and late level weapons is absolutely busted in favor of the late level players, not to mention tank upgrades.Show moreShow less
I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single farther to my son, who is 12 now. My son got this game for Christmas in 2020 from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 18 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game, picked my character and started playing but I was stuck on what you were supposed to do. I asked my son for help and he hosted a game for me to join. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my son many happy memories.Show moreShow less
