Fun game, but I paid for the season pass only to discover none of the DLC characters actually race themselves. Unless you plan on playing as them, they're essentially not in the gameShow moreShow less
I’ve spent quite a few hours playing this and honestly it ended up being a really nice surprise. It really captures the spirit of the older racing games from the series, with that mix of speed, chaotic items, and creative tracks that made the older titles so fun, as someone who really enjoyed Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and especially Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, I had pretty high expectations, and overall I’m very happy with how it turned out, the first thing that stands out is the driving feel. It’s very arcade like, so it’s easy to pick up and play, but there’s still a lot of room to improve and get better, drifting feels great, and once you start chaining boosts through corners you can keep an incredible amount of speed. It’s exactly what I hoped for: fast, responsive, and really satisfying gameplay, the tracks are definitely one of the strongest parts of the game. They’re varied, colorful, and often full of shortcuts or alternate paths, some tracks reward learning the layout and optimizing your racing line, which makes replaying them really enjoyable, you can tell the developers tried to make memorable courses, in the same spirit as the best tracks from the older games, the roster is also pretty great, there are plenty of iconic characters, each with their own personality and style, the animations and little details during races add a lot of charm, and it really helps make the whole experience feel lively and fun, visually the game looks really good, the environments are colorful, the sense of speed is great, and everything runs smoothly, the overall vibe fits perfectly with what you’d expect from a racing game in this universe, fast, energetic, and a bit chaotic in the best way possible, multiplayer is probably where the game shines the most, racing against friends quickly turns into intense matches with constant lead changes right up to the finish line. It’s the kind of game where you start with "just one race" and suddenly realize you’ve been playing for hours, of course, the game isn’t completely perfect, some items can be a little frustrating when you get hit at the worst possible moment, especially near the finish line, the balance is generally good, but races can sometimes get pretty chaotic, the single player mode could also have used a bit more long term variety or extra challenges. And while most tracks are excellent, a few are a bit less memorable than the best ones, that said, these issues are fairly minor compared to how fun the game is overall, the core gameplay is solid, the tracks are well designed, and it clearly respects what made the older racing games so enjoyable while still bringing some fresh ideas. If you liked the previous racing games from the series or just enjoy fast and fun arcade kart racers, there’s a very good chance you’ll have a great time with this, definitely a game I can recommend !Show moreShow less
70$ base game 30$ for season pass. No widescreen support. Frame rate is locked at 60 fps max. It's 2025 and a well renowned 6 billion dollar AAA mega corporation can't deliver those two features that's basically the new standard for PCs and consoles? With a 70$ price tag?Show moreShow less
It's snappy, it's fun, the game actually WORKS, runs amazing on Steam Deck and it's crossplay. This game is more proof that selling my switch to buy a Steam Deck was the right move!Show moreShow less
Probably the most fun Kart Racing game I've ever played and easily the best on PC. However, I cannot recommend it for this price. Games like this should be affordable so you can play with friends. Note: There's a lot going on visually, which can make you feel sick and give you a headache after a number of races.Show moreShow less
the only thing that would make this game better would be if Sega added the perfume department in the mall from Spongebob as one of the Crossworlds sectionsShow moreShow less
I can not justify paying 70$ for this game. This game's price should be 40$ AT MAX. And that is coming from someone who is obsessed with Sonic and Racing. Where did the lenghty single-player campaigns from the previous games go?Show moreShow less
I have no interest in Sonic the Hog as a franchise but this is genuinely a brilliant racing game, great to play with friends while you're all on ketamineShow moreShow less
Expensive DLC characters that don't speak and can't be raced against as rival NPCs takes the biggest selling point of this game for me and completely hobbles it. Will loop back to this one if/once modders add in the features that should have been in from the jump.Show moreShow less
