An absolute classic! A great game, but I wouldn't recommend buying this until they update the game to work on modern systems. As it stands you have to search for solutions, download mods, and mess with it until it works which is unacceptable. Steam needs to remove it from their store, or a professional dev team needs to come fix the game even if it means an increase in the price. They fix their game, and I'll change my review to a recommend.Show moreShow less

I am not signing Disney's new Eula. I've owned this game for over a decade. let me play it without signing their "we can do whatever we want to you and you can't sue us ever" contract. If you think that's a joke, it's not! someone who bought a Disney+ subscription took their SO to a Disney owned Restaurant and their SO died to an allergy attack the staffed assured them would not happen. Disney, when sued, tried to make the matter disappear by proving that the Disney+ EULA was signed by the grieving individual. I am not signing ♥♥♥♥. Let me play my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.Show moreShow less

[Persuade] You really should buy this game 5. [Shia Labouf] JUST BUY IT 6. The graphics might be a bit dated and the restored content patch is a must, but that is no reason not to buy it, right? 7. There surely is a way to convince you to buy this game, right? (400 Credits) 8. I should goShow moreShow less
Since the original posting of this review there now appear to be more trouble shooting resources than ever before. Steam has also improved refunds. I still do not recommend the steam version from personal experience and have had better success and instant playability with the GoG version on three separate computers. If you don't like trouble shooting this game probably isn't for you. I have found KotOR to be near impossible to play through steam. Some people may not have much trouble starting it but a majority are not able to get this game to run without spending a significant amount of time troubleshooting. The first time, two years ago, after nearly an hour of trying fixes the game finally made it past the character creation screen. I was about two minutes in but could not figure out how to progress. Turns out it was bugged. More troubleshooting and I manage to finally get to the next part of the mission only for it to be bugged again. After a few hours I could not get the game at any more playable of a state. One year later I can't even get the first mission to load. Close to four hours of work and I manged to play five minutes of the game.Show moreShow less

One of the greatest games ever but good luck getting the thing to run. I don't know why Steam, GoG or anybody would sell a game that doesn't run, why there isn't a single mod that can fix this. instead even after downloading five or six mods and changing a bunch of files everything short of disabling movies and I can't get the thing to run.Show moreShow less

This may be an unpopular opinion.. but if I have to got through 6 websites to mod the game for it to work on modern systems... I cannot recommend for average user.Show moreShow less
