Here me out game is fun but huge money grabber. I played this game on browser only instead of steam, I had more than 100+ hours in the game too (I played for a solid 3 weeks everyday). I will say it is fun for the first few days until basically everyone goes AFK and there's like only 4 out of the 30 to 100 players left. I remember a guy who played as an eastern country. He told me he was ex army and retired. Then proceeded to tell me after the first 5 in-game days 1x (1 day game = 1 day IRL) other modes are 4x (6hrs = 1 game day) but after 5 irl and game days he already took Africa. I asked him to how he did it so fast and I'm pretty sure he had a few screws loose as well because he kept taking everything seriously. But I digress. He told me he's been using his retirement money on the game to boost himself to max rank soldiers, tanks, ships you name it. I came back a day later literally and he's taken half of Europe. I archive the game and come back when I was bored and wondered what happened in that game and he already took everything and won. This game is hugely pay to win and if you try calling out the devs for it in discord you get banned, I will admit I tried this "PAY 2 WIN" and bought some gold and my god they rip you off. To shorten research of new troops by 12 hrs costs 2K gold and all research is over a day and half long. You can buy the biggest pack of gold they offer and spend all of it in a day. I regret it but I'm glad I tried that cheap system they had because I was curious, overall. The games is horrible, it'll be fun for like 2 days or more but as soon as a pay 2 win dude rolls up its over. I know why they buy gold and I think everyone does. Its the fact 1. It give them satisfaction knowing they can ruin your hard work and day in a few hours. 2. They do it to win so they can rub it in on others. 3. they buy it to boost their low pathetic ego on others. Its like I said about the Ex Army guy, he really played this game to boost his ego over new and experienced players. If you have to result in paying money to win a game, fair enough, but deep down it will bother you knowing you didn't beat him without paying money to win. I had a word with a few players based around this game and other games that are similar, they said and after some research I did this is a form of gambling. You win but you don't get money back, you get a little bit of satisfaction from beating opponents and a day later no one cares. Devs remove and ban people who speak out to them LOL. You ain't devs, you're just a poor excuse for a company. If you wanted to make money on this game you could've put a price on it and a season pass. Simple and no pay 2 win. If you want proper strat games like this try Hearts of Iron or Age of Empires. Other than that I'm done with this review and game overall. Hopefully the devs and company don't make another otherwise it'll probably include buying countries so you can play as them XD either way hope this sums up everything, like I said play if you like but don't complain if you get hit by a dude with maxed out stuff at start of fresh game lolShow moreShow less
like the game, just dont like the pay to win aspect. I would pay to buy game (free now) IF the pay to win aspect was removedShow moreShow less
Another look-alike cash grab mobile game. Would just stay away from this game: you pay you win, you don't you lose. You just get insane benefits over other players when you actually spend money letting you steam roll others. Want instant resources? Instant building, unit, and research queues instead of waiting hours? Want to just win the game? Well, with a small price of a couple hundreds of dollars you can have it all! :) EDIT: Adding this cause I've never seen such an absurd response from a developer. Their defense for their heavy 'p2w' microtransaction model is that it's not as bad as other games (ex: loot box). What the hell kind of response was that LOL.Show moreShow less
a game were your only weapon is your credit cardShow moreShow less
My first game had 1 guy who spent hundreds of dollars to bum rush the rest of the game by day 2. He used gold to instantly construct and research units, buying more resources than anyone could make, and spent gold to instantly annex other people's cities to repeat the process where normal players take over a day to annex a city. The rest of the map formed an alliance to try to stop him but no one could because he spent so much money to instantly win. No fun to be had and I never even saw the tech tree progress past tier 1 because the game was over that quickly. I try again for a second game because "I wasn't giving it a chance", and that too had a gold user but he was some weird nationalist who spammed nothing but tanks who thanks to the crappy battle mechanics can't be countered even by vehicles meant to counter tanks because the HP difference is so wide between tanks and everything else means you get one shot off and instantly die because tanks have 100 HP and deal 8 damage with 50% bonuses on the most common terrain types but you have 28 HP and deal 12 damage unless you aren't on a city. That is if the person isn't spending gold to heal his units while you fight him. That is after you spent 1 REAL LIFE day researching a unit, 2-5 REAL LIFE days to build the buildings in order to build it, and ANOTHER REAL LIFE DAY to make a SINGLE unit in a single city. That is 4 real life days for one unit if you are free to play, 5 seconds for gold users. I do not understand how anyone can defend this pay to win trash, or understand the community of whales who drop hundreds of dollars to look cool in a mostly empty match. Scratch that last part, the community is here because they can't P2W in actual multiplayer games.Show moreShow less
Good game but beware darned P2W players. They are the bane of this game. They need to nerf the premium currency. Otherwise an amazing strategy game. PS: If you see me, say hi.Show moreShow less
I like the concept of this game, however you will get very little enjoyment out of it unless you spend a considerable amount of money. The rate at which you collect needed resources to build, and upgrade is painfully slow. Resources are used for buildings, troops/equipment, and upgrades for all. You will be short to begin with, and as the game goes on, you will rarely be doing more than a couple of items in a 24 hour period (unless you loose that credit card). As soon as pay to win players enter the conflict, and turn their sights on you, you will be finished with your first game in short order. You may last a few days, but don't get comfortable, loss is inevitable. You may say, "of course resource collection is slow, the purpose of designing games is to make money". This is true, however I would rather pay full price for the game and enjoy it, rather than having to buy the game over and over and over again. The cost of goods is extreme, and there is rarely enough to buy with in game money, even if you have it. So, buy gold, and in order to have any chance of finishing alive, buy more gold, and more gold, and more gold. They say buying a boat is just throwing money into a hole in the water. Buying this game with any chance of success or prolonged enjoyment would be worse than buying the boat. Even with sale prices, the dollar to gold ratio is ridiculous considering the amounts of gold required to fast track start of research, and to speed up completion. Example $1000+ gold to skip needed resource collection, $1000 gold per 12 hour speed up of build/research/upgrade, which will average over 24 hours for anything of substance. $4000 gold to complete on speed up of your choosing. $1.99 gets you 3500 gold. $20 will get you 44000 gold. You are not getting far on that tank of gas. If you spend it all in one go, you will still be way behind the CCC. Unless you make friends with the right buyer, you will almost certainly not come close to seeing the end of the game. I have been fortunate twice in lucking up into the right coalition, or befriending the the right person. If you feel like you need to try it, and spend money to play, buy the Platoon Pack through Steam for $12. It is the best bang for your buck, will give you access to Security Counsel which allows for overall full experience of the game, without spending much. Good Luck, and don't let that ego make credit card purchases your body can't cash.Show moreShow less
goood but should remove goldShow moreShow less
Making a video game is about the passion for gaming, and for me I see no passion. No game should ever be allowed to lose the interegety of fairness and equality because of money. there are plenty of free games that make money in other means, and if you can make a game that only can survive by people willing to spend money to beat their opponets then you shouldnt be making games. no other game or sport has ever allowed money to be a means to get an edge over other players. so you can sit there with your money and feel proud you made a buck off some people but for me you lose my respect and alot of other gamers respect as well. we are sick of gaming companys like yours preying on this idea of pay to win. i hope one day it litterally becomes illegal to do this, and people look back at games like this and realize how bad we all had it through this era of gaming. Be better than that. Cause if you truly love games and much as i do then you wouldnt be doing this. Strategy isnt about wallet size and never should be. you probally wont change cause of me and thats fine. i just hope someone else reads this and decides to never give you a dollar. Change please. show the gaming community you dont just care about money cause you have a game i would 100% buy and reccomend. even when i knew you could spend money I still tried to get friends to play with me. guess how many played? litterally none. every single one quit as soon as I mentioned you could make troops or build buildings faster with in game gold.... my last point is this. everything in life is getting expensive. medicine, food, just going to the doctor costs hundreds with insurance. Gaming for me was always an escape from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of the real world. but instead now you make a game free? and make money by altering the game itself? its obvious its greed con.... i thought gaming companys had my back but just like many politicitons i cant even trust you guys. Change for the community. Change cause you know its right. Change cause ik when you were kids dreaming of making games you didnt plan to alter a game by money, and if you did then dont ever make another game again. sincerely an annoyed gamer.Show moreShow less
