This game has a lot of potential. I personally found it relaxing when I want to take a break from high intensity racing sim. There are some suggestions that I have to make this game better. 1. I really hope to have dynamic weather introduced in the next update. It would be cool to have a weather forecast for example. Even better if you can introduce seasonal change. What's the point of having wiper and upgradable tire if you only drive in a sunny day only? It will make driving more challenging and fun. 2. The interaction with the passenger can get repetitive, so there should be more variations. It would be great to have audio interaction in Spanish or Catalan for better immersion because we're in Barcelona right. 3. After driving for almost 50 hours in this game, the map feels small as I've explores every corner of the city. So, please introduce further expansion for the entire city. 4. Improve the GPS system. There are many occasion where the GPS instruct me to go through a "forbidden" part of the city which is inaccessible. Please fix that. 5. I notice there's a throttle issue with the premium sedan car "Rhea" when driving in manual transmission. Even though I've pressed my throttle down to about 25% it doesn't register in game and then there's sudden throttle jump which accelerate car beyond the speed I intended. I gave up driving this car even though it's the most expensive car in the game I have the worst driving experience with it. 6. Make distinction between normal road and highway in the map, where to enter and exit it. Sometimes I want to test the car speed to the limit and what better way to do it in the highway. 7. Where are the bus, the motorbike, the cyclist? Please add more variation to the vehicles we encounter in the city to make it more realistic. I also notice that many stores and street shops are closed in the middle of the day, please make it more lively, add more people gathering, this will add more to the immersion experience. 8. Fix the behavior of the pedestrians. There are many times when I about to complete my trip with passenger and then they appear out of nowhere and I don't have enough time to react making me paying hefty fine and losing that customer. 9. Please make it possible to change the camera angle and set it as default. I have 21:9 ultra wide monitor and when inside the car I want to be able to see both left and right rear mirror. But as soon as I look up, or glance left or right, I'm back to the default settings. We can rotate the camera but it would be nice to have option to have a wider field of view, move camera horizontally, vertically, adjust angle etc. You can check how it's implemented in Asetto Corsa, BeamNG, etc. You know what I mean. Kudos to the developer, and I'm looking forward to the next update. Oh and please improve the stability of the game, I have the game crashing several times using intel core i7 13700-F, 64GB of RAM, and RTX 4070.Show moreShow less

What´s better after some exhausting races in Le Mans Ultimate or Forza Motorsport with sim equippment or some intense fights in Battlefield to grab a controller, couch back and ride slow and chill with a client through Barcelona, answering his sightseeing questions and discover the beauty of the city. I knew that some wheels are not (yet) supported so i bought this game without expectations to only use a controller. Be patient, don´t rush on the streets and the game open´s up. Get tips for save driving, clean and repair your car and expand your business. Driving with controller is excellent and the city is gorgeous. Also i like the soundscape of the driving and the city. Watch out for pedestrians and try not to touch or crash cars. Be aware that not all wheels are supported, check their list. You can get it cheaper on some key stores. Overall highly recommended! No wheel support haha, seriously? Not even gonna write a proper review for this. The game doesn't support steering wheel and pedals. On the store page it says: Taxi Life is compatible with the most popular steering wheel peripherals and game controllers. The game just crashes whenever it's launched with wheel connected or you connect a wheel while in the game. And if Fanatec isn't popular, I don't know what is then. Now that the game is compatible with more steering wheels I was finally able to play. So far I’m enjoying it, but I can already see that it needs plenty of updates. There’s not really any other modern taxi sims so I hope the devs can see it through. - needs optimizations to fps and ai - needs more advanced tweaking options for wheels and force feedback - would like the ability to adjust my seat position - please add dynamic weather (rain) - map expansion? - more mission types? (Food delivery, tour guide, follow that car, customers who ask to ignore lights) ((for tour guide maybe the more landmarks you unlock gives you more things to say to customers)) - mod support? - I would appreciate a larger tolerance for being in the pick up/drop off spots (when there’s no need for parallel parking) - The turn signals should be less strict. They currently only turn off by themselves after very sharp turns - I know I drive a manual w/clutch pretty aggressively, but I dont think I'm so bad to require repairing my engine hourly.Show moreShow less

So here's my review about Taxi Life: I really enjoyed the ideia of having a taxi company and driving passengers around the city, I've never seen an game that simulates a taxi driver life like this and I really liked this. But, unfortunatelly, the games still needs to improve A LOT. And when I mean a LOT is literally. I'll start with the negative since it has more cons than pro: Now this one really annoyed me: the game has zero climate and weather feature. Everyday is a clear sky sunny day with 28Cº that never gets cold and doesn't rain ever. And the worst part is, those features are not planned to be in the game, confirmed by the devs on their Discord server with the excuse of "performance issues". I mean, why they even bother to put A/C with different temperatures and a windshield wiper if it will never rain or be cold? Literally the only moment you turn on those wipers is when a bug smash on your window lol. It would be great to drive on an rainy asphalt and have more challenge fares, and also a better immersive gameplay. I was happy playing the game with the other problems, but this made me regret buying this game and it's the reason I'm giving a negative review, it really makes no sense since this is an simulator. Altough the game has beautiful graphics, it's really bad optimized. My PC specs are above the recommended requirements and still drop a lot of frames during random moments. AI is really bad. Cars keeps break checking all the time, drive really slow on streets that has a higher speed limit, will cut you on curves and act like you don't exist. And to prove that the AI is so trash, even the devs put a feature called "call the police", that will magically evaporate all the traffic from the map when they decided to be totally stopped. And pedestrians are so dumb, they keep walking like clowns on crosswalks, sometimes they cross the street and they decide to go back to where they came lol, sometimes will ignore the green light for cars. And this causes you to hit them and making you pay a high fine. When you're creating your character you have only few preset characters that aren't much different from one or another. And the main issue is you can't be a female driver, only male drivers are available to choose, and the only moment you can see a female driver is when you're hiring a driver for your company. Sometimes when you need to get a passenger or drop him off, you'll need to climb the sidewalk for literally no reason, when the passengers could really walk to your car and you wouldn't need to climb the sidewalk and accidentally hit a pedestrian by accident, and again, getting a high fine for it. Altough I play with a controller, if you see the Discord chat and the other negative reviews, almost every player is complaining about the lack of steering wheels support, only a few models of steering wheels works with this game. Pros: As said above, the game is really fun if you can ignore all those problems. It can be immersive with features like turning on A/C and choosing a temperature, you can turn on the radio (altough it has really few musics but ok) and passengers will often ask to turn on or off the A/C or lower the temperature, or ask to turn on or off the radio, I really enjoyed this part. I enjoyed all the cars that are available to buy and drive, you can drive different types of cars that serves for specific reasons. Like driving an station wagon taxi to carry more luggage, or an smaller hatchback to drive trough narrow streets, an eletric van that carry more people and has special fares that requires an eletric car, an luxury sedan that resembles a Mercedes to get VIP passengers, and an eletric like Tesla to get VIP passengers as well. Costumization is pretty wide, you can change the car collor, the taxi plate, rims, interior, put decorations inside the car, change the shift knob, etc. For the moment, I don't recommend this game until they fix all those problems mentioned above. I'm not changing this review. Only buy this game during sales, cause this is not worth what they're charging for.Show moreShow less

🚕 Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator 🚕 ✔️Pros: Beautiful City (love the street art) Very calm and relaxing I love that i can customise my Taxi Can have a whole taxi business with workers ✖️Cons: Frame drops here and there (nothing big at least from my own game play) AI drivers crash... A LOT! It can be bit over Whelming with amount crashes and even crashing into me AI walking across roads can start walking across then change mind half way in the road and go back (bit annoying) Sadly does not support many wheels, i have an old Logitech and game does not support it When the game says "road works" it means road works... EVERYWHERE!! Some AI driving bugs; Floating cars, cars wheel look like they are turning when driving straight, Cars just randomly stop for no reason (just have to go round them). Just some little things like that. 😊 Overall: In my own opinion, if you like Sims (Like truck sims, trains ect) then this is for you. It is very calm and relaxing, nice city to see. If you want to just sit back and drive around then you cant go wrong. I think it is worth the £25!! I know there is a lot of negative comments, but all i say is; make up your own mind. I am enjoying it, even if i cant use my wheel the controller is great everything you need is all on it and works well. Some small frame drops, is nothing game breaking. Give it a try!
