I was genuinely looking forward to this game, but after reading the EULA (section 13.5), I'm honestly shocked. The developers have granted themselves permission to: Scan parts of your active RAM while the game is running, Take full-size screenshots of the game client (yep, even if you’ve got private stuff visible), Collect a full list of your installed software, including drivers and OS details, Grab all DLLs tied to the game process, with versions and checksums. And the kicker? They can send all this to third parties. Sure, they say it’s "anonymized", but there’s zero explanation on how, by whom, or whether it’s even GDPR-compliant. This level of invasive data collection is absolutely not okay. I signed up to play a strategy game, not to hand over a blueprint of my system to who-knows-who. Already hit the refund button. If you care even a little about your privacy, you might want to do the same. Sadly, the game was fun! Maybe there will be some changes in the (far) future.Show moreShow less
So far I can say this is what I wanted for a long time. Good campaign/skirmish game. It does feel like "old" new Red alert game from Westwood. Thank you for making this.Show moreShow less
Read the eula linked on the steam store page, especially section 13.5, and notice the additional eula at 13.6. I didn't and played for a bit. the game itself seems fun, but now I'm worried and might refund. They talk about transmitting RAM dumps while the game is running, as well as a bunch of user and system information, for "For the purpose of detection system improvement and elimination of malfunctions and errors in the Game, as well as detecting the use of third-party software resources that affect the game process the User permits and COMPANY has right to automatically collect, store, process, submit to third party for achieving such purpose", which is incredibly broad. I don't understand the GDPR well enough to know if this is even legal, but it seems non-standard, and it WILL catch a lot of personal information, which they then get to sell according to the linked EULA.Show moreShow less
Yes. Yes. Yes. More of this please! Huge thanks to everyone involved in making this fantastic game and a huge middle finger to EA for destroying Westwood Studios and denying us this sort of fun for over 20 years!Show moreShow less
Christ this has one of the worst privacy policies I've seen in a while. They literally straight up say they reserve the right to sell your data to third parties and so on. And they collect pretty much as much data as they can get their hands on, with no option to opt out of any of it.Show moreShow less
This game is awesome. The only RTS that can replace C&C. The campaign is excellent. There's massive variety in game play style. The story is cool. Multiplayer. Doesn't suck... Weird..(Thought games were meant to suck these days) I love this game. Will buy any and all DLC. Hope they make a sequel after the DLC. Hope they make an anime series. I hope they all get rich A.F for making such a fun game. Thanks devs.Show moreShow less
Has a lot of promise, I like the campaign cutscenes. Very nostalgic. But it needs an extra tech tier or two. Where are the super weapons? Where are the meaty units like Mammoth tanks or some kind of walker?? You upgrade 1 tier of tech, get medium tanks + short range artillery and that's it. That's as far as you go. Optimal strat in every mission is just troop carriers (Heli carrier for GDF) with an engineer in it then fill the rest of the spots with basic drone troopers or rocket troops in them and that's the whole game. Engineer gives the carrier self healing and the rocket troops decimate everything. Not enough depth IMHO. I would come back to it if there were more tiers of units to tech up to. Something beefy and satisfying like Battlecruisers or Carriers from SC2 or the Scrin Tripods, GDI mammoth Tanks & NoD Avatars from C&C3. And Superweapons!! Give us nukes and orbital bombardments please!Show moreShow less
If you are a fan of Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, then you will enjoy this game a lot. The units, music, and gameplay are on point! Two factions at the moment but there is a third being released down the road.Show moreShow less
I bought this game, expecting a single player heavy spiritual successor of Command & Conquer; I mean come on... GDI - GDF, Tiberium - Tempest, Construction Yard, Commando unit calling in airstrikes and the list could go on. However what I got is... well, a wavering quality of mishmash, consisting elements from C&C and Starcraft primarily. It tries hard to resurrect those games, but for me, fumbled. First and foremost the game is FAST. Without a speed slider, so you can't really adjust the game speed for your preference. And don't tell me GIT GUD, because there are some overly OP units, which can literally disintegrate your defenses in 3-5 seconds, so if you happen to be in a major maneuver, tough luck. Also, did I mention that this game is fast? Which means that like every 20-30 seconds you get the "Your base is under attack" warning, where you have to immediately focus to that area, because you simply get no indication whatsoever of whether a single infantry walked into your crossfire, or a few major units are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ your turrets. Annoying ♥♥♥♥. What else... Unit pathfinding is abysmal, some units will stuck, while some are going to push others out of crucial areas, e.g. repair AoE. Which may not sound of a big deal, since you can always build some more, but you really can't. I'm closing to the end of the Tempest Brotherhood... erm Dynasty campaign and ♥♥♥♥ my life, the mission design is sometimes annoying as hell. Around third of the missions are either commando ones or you have to get by with limited resources and oh boy, during these missions the game's shortcomings are beaming through. Scripted events, enemy zerg-rushing you with seemingly endless resources, save scumming galore. Meh, this game could have used some additonal playtesting. Going to just abort the Dynasty campaign, let's hope GDF is better. In the favor of this game, sometimes it catches that classic RTS feeling, but the fact is that mainly the only thing it does is to make me want to replay the old C&C games. UPDATE: GDF is not better, same issues. Uninstalled. UPDATE2: I disabled comments because of sporadic morons. I mean if your best argument in the defense of this game is that what kind of games I'm playing / reviewing, then get a life maybe?Show moreShow less
