it is with regret that I give a negative review. The graphics and animations are excellent. And the game loop looks fun. But as it stands, it looks like early access. The tutorial doesn't explain the mechanics properly or completely. For example, a new cube location has been unlocked: how do I create a new cube element? Should I upgrade gardien's stones or not ? The game mechanics are incomprehensible in French. But in English too. When you're wandering around in a dream, getting around is complicated. Battles with ghosts are unclear (do my attacks work or not?). Time flies. Even when you're talking to an NPC or reading a description. Picking up objects from the ground is laborious. Especially as they weigh so much, you can't pick up everything you want. Anyway, that's it. This game has the potential to be good. But for me at this date, it looks like an alpha/beta version.Show moreShow less
I want to promote and recommend this game for its creativity and neat mechanics however, it still has a long way to go. My review is going to focus on potential improvements directed at the devs: (you won't gain much as a potential player by reading my review) • Maybe lock most crafting/inventory options at the start of the game. It is incredibly hard to focus on what is important if I have a tutorial to a menu and mechanics that I have never seen in action. (together with better tooltips you might not have to invest too much into tutorials and extensive explanations) • Improve Tooltips and cover all keywords: I can't judge some of the guardians' skills due to this -> Have a look at Paradox Games' Tooltips they do this really well. • You NEED a bug report feature. I have a very low amount of playtime and I faced multiple game breaking bugs. Especially save/load does currently lead to several bugs (not all relevant data is serialized) • I believe you should per default allow to inspect enemies (on right click). The right click which is already used for inspection in the menu should be used for the same functionality in combat. • Your game would highly benefit from a combat log -> there are a lot of passive abilities and other interactions which I searched for in the character description. I still haven’t found some of them (affinity). • I haven’t got a clue how to counterplay the ghosts’ dodging of my active abilities during dream-map movement. Maybe I am clueless, maybe this needs to be worked on. • The reward system is not very transparent. • Music could use smoother transitions. I would recommend working on existing- and quality of life features. The game already has a healthy amount of content to play with, which I enjoyed.Show moreShow less
I want to recommend this for the mix of ideas and genres put together. I cannot recommend this, because it is just not finished as of 02/2025. Missing text blocks, glitching / out of bounds enemy spawns, unclear instructions , missing information for some mechanics. UI issues are the most obvious to be fixed before this is finished. Still, creatively amazing. Keep working on it!Show moreShow less
Enjoyable once you understand the mechanics and accept that you will die... and retry.Show moreShow less
Unfortunately, have to refund this game. It looks like a bunch of really cool and interesting concepts thrown together. I would have loved to explore the game more, if not for horrendous UI/UX and terrible English translation. Also, why are there text placeholders in a finished game? Anyway, I can imagine this being good once its more player-friendlyShow moreShow less
Thyria has a special approach to combat I've not seen before in a game like this. Skip below if you don't care about context In this game You play as a witch who enters the dreams cursed villagers to fight the demons plaguing their nightmares. To fight these demons you bring along up to 3 guardians that you've crafted from different stones with their own unique abilities based on the stones used to craft them. skip to here Every ability has a day version and a night version. In combat against the demons, the day/night cycle progresses based on abilities used by both your guardians and the demons you face. You have one set of abilities during the day, and another set during the night. And this can shift on any turn of either your guardians or the demons. This adds a huge element to strategy and planning as some classes have more healing/support abilities depending on if its day or night. So sometimes you can lose a lot of your fire power if the cycle shifts before you're ready for it to. Also important On top of this, you have complete and total customisation of what abilities each guardian has. Every ability in your guardian customisation menu has a day/night version of itself. And when deciding what abilities to add to your guardians hotbar, you can mix and match any day with any night version. So you can create any custom combination you want. We could each enter a dreamworld with the same heroes but have 100% entirely different powers and abilities. The customisation for this is crazy cool. That alone is a reason to try this game. The only thing I don't like about the game is I wish it did more with its story. The concept of entering dreams to fight demons that have cursed people is really cool. I wish it delved more into this early on. We don't get any real motivation as to why we are doing this. No reason except "sure I guess I can help" Hope more motivation and reasoning is added as more of the game is worked on. Either way, I've loved my experience with the game so far. Its a fun/challenging/rewarding experience as I learn the ins and outs of my guardians and the demons that I face. Game has a lot of potential, but there is too many bugs. The game is unfinished & unbalanced. Sadly.Show moreShow less
Good game and worth the price. Good luck explorer.Show moreShow less
English localization is absolutely horrendous, and the UI is clunky. It was bad enough that I didn't make it to the core gameplay, so I can't judge that part.Show moreShow less
