Wraith is more difficult. This one has the same problem Black vs Vol1 has. It does almost the same thing as the last one only slightly harder.Show moreShow less
Underrated game designer. Cult following. Hardcore game-play. Heavy synthesized soundtracks. Twin-Stick. Shooter. Melee. Intense. DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION? In my WARPZONE DRIFTER review I mentioned how abashed I was after playing DRIFTER but not having yet experienced any other of Walter Machado's works and having all of Walter's offerings in my library no less. UBERMOSH Vol.5, a frenetic 2D twin stick combination shooter / melee imbued with multiple modes including: GUNNER: Shooter only and the only auto-fire mode (requires trigger press). KENSAI: Melee only. WARLOCK, CATALYST, PSYKER, WRAITH, NO CLASS MODS: A combination of melee and shooter with varying re-spawns and parameters. The UBERMOSH collection is an array of evolving arcade titles based on the original game UBERMOSH and fervid user contributions to subsequent titles. Individuals have argued Walter's successive implementations of UBERMOSH were a monetary device designed to enrich and they argued that further product enhancements should of been handled as patches to the original game. In retrospect, I digress in that the collection allows the user to reconnoitre the series entries and enhancements, perhaps select a favorite. To understand the series evolution and the designer I recommend UBERMOSH & The Desktop Distortions Review If you own the collection you receive each iteration when released. Walter has Vol 7 arriving soon via a Steam Early Access release. UBERMOSH 5 (and the collection as a whole (conveniently on sale as of this writing) )): Easy recommendation. Addendum via advice from my friend SickBoy: ... Each game (or series) is its own thing. ... I recommend finishing each one in chronological order because each sequel was built upon the previous. If you start with the most recent you'll miss the subtle transformation the series has gone through, and playing the older ones afterwards won't feel as interesting. Plus each game is essentially an album (including a graphic 'cover' ala the main screen) that you won't want to miss ...Show moreShow less

✅ All you need is Kill ✅ Hard, but fair ✅ Music is fantastic (Core Guitars, Heavy Beat, Retro Vibe and Dark Hue) ✅ Graphic not bad ✅More modes than in the previous partShow moreShow less
UBERMOSH Vol.5 is one of a series of retro pixel top down twin stick survival shooters where you must survive as long as you can against waves of enemies. The twists with this one are that you can attack the bullets with your little sword. Great. This is utterly derivative and it seems the developer is hell bent on just reskinning and re-releasing the same game direct to bundles and shovelware bins to see how much money he can gouge from Steams lack of quality control. Reasons not to buy this? Nearly no game at all, just the tired shooter survival mechanic seen in hundreds of other games. Fixed resolution, fixed controls, terrible retro pixel graphics from an extremely lazy developer. At least the price is proportional to the quality here... extremely low. And yet it still feels overpriced.Show moreShow less

Even at the price of $1, this game still doesn't get a thumbs up from me aside from the great sound effects. It's a twin stick shooter that could have easily been made as a simple flash game. It's not horrible but if you've seen 10 seconds of the game then you've seen all there is to it.Show moreShow less
Broken under a tsunami of blood and carved to razor by the jagged points of the broken bones of billions of faithfull, She is grace without peer, or mercy, or hope, or excuse. Through her, we witness the dawning of a new religion, one where enlightenment is found under the raging inferno of her mighty arsenal and in the afterglow of her incredible, limitless power as she dances over your broken body. A meer glance, before she strikes you down, a flicker in your eye as she rends you asunder and sends your soul screaming into the black, only for you to awaken once more upon your feet, unharmed but forever changed. Forever her disciple. Come again to her altar. Come again amongst the army of her faithful. Overwhelm her with numbers the likes of which you'll never see again, all for the chance to see her. All for the chance to see her bleed. She is the Blade Saint, and through her we find englightnment. O, Glorious Blade Saint, Deliver us to your side that we may share in your perfection. THAT WE MAY WORSHIP YOU, IN THE DESERTS OF ULTRAKARR! RESPAWNED AND PURIFIED AGAIN AND AGAIN JUST AS YOU WERE! BRING US TO RAPTURE! BRING US... UBERMOSH!Show moreShow less
Show moreShow less
