Before I played UBERMOSH i had a small wee wee, no friends, no girlfriend and absolutely no will to live. None of these things have changed, but the game is pretty good. UBERMOSH를 하기 전에는 친구도 없고 여자친구도 없고 삶에 대한 의지도 전혀 없는 작은 주말을 보냈음. 이 모든 것들은 변하지 않았지만 게임은 꽤 좋았음.Show moreShow less
I'm sad to say that I cannot recommend this game in its current state. Pros: -Fast paced -Solid music -A name I could get behind Cons: -Lacking weapon variety -Lacking enemy variety -Lacking map variety -No powerups/score multipliers/arcade mechanics which would benefit the arcade-genre well -Camera shakes too often and can be disorienting. The camera 'follows' your reticle to a certain extent and appears more detrimental than beneficial. This leads to: -Camera feels too close, having an enemy spawn+instantly fire upon you when it's only 5 feet away but not visible is not fun. -Enemy projectiles tend to spawn far from their model. Baiting attacks to use the sword gimmick ends poorly, and often. -Controller support exists, but does not feel calibrated in the slightest. Combined with the camera movement tied to reticle feels bad man.Show moreShow less
UBERMOSH is a fast-paced cyberpunk action game that is currently available through Steam Early Access. In UBERMOSH you get thrown into a mosh pit full of crazy enemies armed to the teeth and you have to use your katana to cut the bullets up and send them back to where they came from! Killing enemies lets you pick up their guns so you can bring down fire upon your enemies from your own weapons too! Since UBERMOSH is in Early Access and is also extremely cheap I won't mention anything along the lines of 'lack of content' in my Early Access review. +Awesome pixel art style +A kickass soundtrack +Well designed enemies and weapons +The weapons that are currently available are varied so you get a lot of different types of projectiles flying all over the place +Each round is ninety seconds (not that you'll ever make it to ninety seconds) so it's possible to have a couple of quick games even if you're short on time +Excellent value for money even if you only play it for an hour since it has such a low price +Simple controls (KB&M) +Provides a good challenge but the more you play the better you get, at least that's what I found +Three playable classes have been introduced, they add new playstyles to the game but there is still the no-class mode which is what the game was pre-update -I don't see you being able to play for more than an hour or two but for the price that isn't too bad Here's a short gameplay video I recorded: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwkeOsMvkow Verdict: Essential Purchase (9/10) UBERMOSH is a fantastic, fast-paced action game with a cool cyberpunk style, awesome pixel graphics, a fantastic soundtrack and great value for money. If you still haven't picked this game up then you're doing yourself a disservice. No drama, Just Reviews? El K.Show moreShow less
Playing the game with this camera is like playing a FPS game with 10 fov. It's literally in your face and it's close to impossible to keep track of everything and avoid the increasing number of enemies and projectiles when you have no idea where you are going. The camera has to be zoomed out more for people to enjoy the game. In this state there is 0 enjoyment from gameplay that lasts less than a minute and dying the whole time. Your best bet is getting a gun with tons of spread and be good at guessing where the enemies are off-screen and shoot there. Everything else in the game is great, the camera ruins it. And this is coming from a veteran gamer who loves playing bullet hell and all kinds of old-school shmup games. You don't want the camera to be too close(like here) or too far. There is always that sweet spot which many old shmup games have found. I'm getting tired of seeing games with "retro" style made by people who have never played retro games. On top of that there is no permanent auto-shoot for every class??? I'm not breaking my mouse over this 1 hour long ♥♥♥♥. Thankfully my mouse has 2 left-click buttons so I don't have to use the main one.Show moreShow less

I will say I like the game's initial concept. Running around deflecting bullets in a Smash TV style top-down Shooter like a pixel-Jedi is pretty awesome, there's just nothing here to support it, and plenty of aggrivating/nauxiating design mistakes. Pros: Solid mouse and keyboard controls Slicing enemy fire is fun Slick graphics "Class Mods" add some replay Cons: Screen shake is overdone and nauxiating. No story or context Only a handful of arenas Only a handful of enemy types Really poor X-Box 360 controller support with unbearably loose aiming reticle on the right stick and attack buttons on the left shoulders instead of the right, with no ability to remap. It has the potential to get better if the Dev is willing to put more work into it, but given that it has launched with a full release, I don't see much more being added. Games with single-person development teams have done better.Show moreShow less
I can happily say that UBERMOSH is one of the most entertaining games I have played in a while. In this game, your objective is to survive in a mosh pit for 1 minute and 30 seconds, using your laser sword to reflect the enemies' bullets back into them, making up for a great defense mechanism, and to eventually pick up their guns and start your own carnage in the pit. The retro art style is lovely and really matches the game's theme while the soundtrack is amazingly energizing, fueling your space killing-sprees. There are several arenas in which you can fight ( randomly chosen by the game when you start a new run), but the only difference between them is the colour of the environment. Your arsenal is not really big but it is varied and has lots of uses: besides your sword, you can equip up to 5 (aproximate number) guns that are dropped by the endless incoming waves of enemies, each having different fire modes ranging from a shotgun to a single charged shot or a flurry of bullets widespread in a cone of fire. The game comes with 4 combat modes: the ordinary one, in which you have 3 lives and can use your sword and any gun you pick up; the "kensai" mode, in which you cannot pick up any firearms, relying only on your sword and starting the run with 6 lives; the "gunner" mode, in which you have no sword but any gun you pick up fires in a full-auto mode; or "warlock", in which you start with the best gun in the game and can use your sword, but you get only 2 lives. If you're looking forward to a greater challenge than what the base game has to offer, hardboiled mode is here to satisfy your needs, representing a much difficult twist on the base game that resets your overall score when you switch to it. You can also get trading cards and easy-to-obtain achievements when playing the game, which adds to the value and makes the price worth it. In my opinion, UBERMOSH will not let you down if you're looking for a good time-killer or just for some good old top down shooting action, and I would strongly suggest buying it. TL;DR: With a difficulty level that reminisces good old arcade games, UBERMOSH brings some new elements to the retro top down shooter template, and it will get you a decent 2 or 3 hours of fun for a really good price.Show moreShow less
Shooting screen is so small and enemies not shooting untill they are nearly in my face. There are better games out there, even it it's only 0,27€ on sale. Everything else about the game is great, but the camera is ruining it for me. This is coming from a hardcore gamer who loves to play bullet hell and all kinds of old school shmup games. It doesn't want to be too close (as in this case) or too far. A lot of old shmup games have found that sweet spot unlike... here.Show moreShow less

I love it to hate it UBERMOSH is a small, interesting, frantic arcade game where you have to shoot an reflect bullets with your sword. And that's it. I just told you the whole idea of the game. But that's not the problem. UBERMOSH is quite interesting having a unique soundtrack and art style as well is really interesting and challenging gameplay. Even though there's not much to do in the game (got 100% of Achievements in 1.9 hours) it's still fun to play. I really like games that require fast reflexes and decision making because UBERMOSH really succeeds in that. Unfortunately the good things stop there. Even though UBERMOSH was fun to play despite the repetitive gameplay it had more flaws in the game mechanics in the short amount of gameplay. The camera is way too close for you to react to anything that's a couple of meters away from you and the hitboxes and spawn points are glitchy... That's the real problem of the game. The enemy bullets will spawn in front of the gun. Not from the barrel of the gun which makes it very hard to predict when to reflect the bullets because you'll be already taking damage before you could even see the bullets. This combined with the extremely glitchy hitboxes makes the gameplay incredibly annoying. Persoanlly I think that the game is super easy if you fix these problems which then leaves one question... Is the game flawed? Yes. Does it have potential? Yes. A lot. The mechanics are fun and the fast speed of the game makes it fun to play but just because the mechanics are glitchy and flawed there's really no reason to buy this game. If they would be refined UBERMOSH could be one of the best Arcade shooters of all time.Show moreShow less
