“Charming puzzle game about a mischievous goose delivering a tight two-hour experience through multiple solutions per mission and delightful NPC interactions.”
Our Verdict
The smartest thing about this game is that it knows what it wants to do and what it doesn't want to do. It doesn't try to tell a grand story, doesn't try to cram in a hundred hours of content, doesn't try to show off with technical wizardry—it just wants you to be an annoying goose, and it does that one thing to perfection.
A two-hour playthrough does feel thin in 2024, but those two hours are denser than twenty hours in many open-world games. Every prank is carefully designed, every NPC reaction is perfectly timed, every scene wastes no space. You won't think "there should be more content here," you'll just think "I want to play this again."
Is it worth two hours? If you want a game you can play for a month, then no. But if you just want to laugh for two hours on a weekend afternoon and experience the joy of being a little villain, this might be the purest game you play all year. It won't change how you think about games, but it will make you remember that waddling white goose and its triumphant honk when you press X.

The game is good, you will get a laugh out of it. But it is way too expensive for being that short. Wait for a 40% discount or so.Show moreShow less

Let me fix the title for you: Annoying Goose Game. (That's not an insult on the game, you play as an annoying goose; the entire game is you just harassing people as a goose) --- Functionally you just waddle around stealing peoples stuff and honking at them, making a mess of their area and checking off a list of tasks to move from one area to the next. (drop a rake in a lake, etc) Is it fun? Yes, but not for very long. After about an hour I'm kinda done with the whole thing. I enjoyed it but can't say that it improves at all from one list of tasks to the next. If you are good at (very simple) puzzle solving you don't have much more than an hour or two of content here and all of it repetitive. So, where does that leave me? I'd really like to be able to recommend the game. Unfortunately it's way over priced for what's here. What you see in the trailers and screenshots on the store is ultimately most of the game. Steal a few things, honk at some people, laugh as they get upset. Repeat that gameplay loop while finishing off a simple check list of tasks to annoy them and you're done almost as quickly as you started. Notice how the swamp of positive reviews (on day one) are all from people with like 10 minutes of play time with nothing better to say than "honk" ? If spending $20 to honk like a goose is what gets you excited, by all means, buy the game and enjoy. Those types of people could probably also just go stare at a door and bark like a dog and get the same entertainment for free. --- Bottom line, this is $2 worth of fun with a $20 price tag. I could probably recommend it at $5 or less, but there's no way I can recommend it at $15 to $20. --- EDIT (2 days later) for additional comment: I've now completed the game twice and have about 6 hours put into it. The achievements don't even trigger reliably. I'm still missing the first area achievement (while I have later achievements that would require the first to be done). I don't deny that I had a couple hours of fun, but that just confirms my original value assessment. Good game, bad price. And I feel no incentive to even try playing again until they fix the achievements to trigger reliably since it will just be the same very simple set of puzzles over and over again. --- EDIT: I've now forced myself to replay this enough to get the achievements, it's more work than it's worth and stops being fun when so many of them are just doing the same things faster (speedrun) or painstakingly dragging something from one area to another which isn't hard, just tedious and pointlessly time wasting. --- While you are here, would you consider following my curator page? Too expensive. Maybe I'm just getting old and jaded but I didn't really enjoy it that much. There were some very funny moments, I can't deny that I didn't enjoy parts of it, but spending 20 dollars for 2 hours of gameplay is just crazy. I could still refund it if I wanted, but that would be extremely uncool of me since I nearly finished it. I totally see why so many people like it, though. Very charming game, but not worth the price of admission.Show moreShow less
A short game, but a goose game. 11/10Show moreShow less
Decent game, but MASSIVELY overpriced for the amount of content. Get it 50% off or more at least. The dollar/hour value right now is worse than going to see a movie.Show moreShow less
6yo Sons review: Really good but difficult. It was hard after we competed it, getting the ball in the goal. I liked that I could play with dad, if it was 1, we wouldnt have played it because there is two of us.Show moreShow less
Really funny and has interesting gameplay, unfortunately that's about it. Too overpriced for such a short game.Show moreShow less
