It is absolutely ridiculous that streamers and other influencers are given preferential treatment by being allowed to skip the login queue.
Regular players pay for the game just like everyone else, yet they are expected to sit and wait while content creators get pushed to the front of the line. This kind of special treatment is unfair, disrespectful to the broader player base, and leaves a very bad impression.
If your servers cannot handle the number of players, then improve the infrastructure instead of creating a two-class system where influencers get priority access.
Very disappointing.

The developers have responded and stated that streamers are not receiving preferential access. I appreciate the clarification.
My original impression came from seeing extremely long queues on NA/EUW while several large streamers I was watching appeared to be getting into the game without the same issue. Naturally, that made the situation look like some form of priority access to me.
If there genuinely is no preferential treatment, then I’m happy to correct that assumption. I can only judge the situation based on what I was seeing at the time from shroud and peanut.

Love the game, great studio/dev team.
The launch today is rough, they obvs never expected the slam for Early Access like this.
The love of gaming is why I am leaving this review asking you to not negative hit it and give it a shot when the servers settle down later today-
They are getting actively DDOS attacks at the same time as launch.

The game was great, until they decided to switch anti-cheat last minute that does not run through Proton. This after the devs said they aim to get the game running over Proton. And even showing themselves playing it on a Steam Deck. Then allowing players to test it during beta where it ran flawlessly over Proton.
This last second AC change was not communicated and handled very poorly by the devs. Even to the point of adding an empty Linux version to Steam, which would just wipe your files if you pre-loaded. Or make you download an empty game while on Linux.
For devs which boast their communication with the community, this aspect was handled terribly. Game at the time of writing does not run on Linux, even though certain sources that devs control such as SteamDB show that it does.Show moreShow less

Does no one remember the Helldivers 2 launch? What are these reviews talking about "streamers". They are having the same issues as other players... BurntPeanut, for example, is currently waiting in queue lol.
It's an indie studio, it's their first major launch, and it's been recieving so much praise. Of course servers are going to be messed up right now. The devs are already working their asses off to fix the game. Ignore these 0.1-0.5 playtime reviews. They aren't even giving the game a chance.Show moreShow less

Negative review is being given due to large steamers being given priority queue despite the devs consistently talking about how streamers would not be given preferential treatment. This review may change once the server issues are resolved and I can actually play the game.
edit: To the devs genuinely all you need to do is apologize for the preferential treatment streamers were given with the whitelisting. An apology for lying about the whitelist's existence would also be nice but I fear it's unlikely to occur.
