DO NOT BUY THIS FOR $60. This is the OLD game, and they increased the price to sucker folks into thinking it's the upcoming game. This game was on steam for TWENTY DOLLARS for the past 5 years, often on sale for less than 5. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR $60Show moreShow less
Thank you Humble Bundle!Show moreShow less
Good game but corporate must have given out crack pipes as Christmas gifts to think a 10 year old game is worth full price. I’ll change my recommendation when they put down the rockShow moreShow less
DO NOT PAY $60 FOR THIS!!! This was $22 back in 2021. I got it for $8 on sale. It's a great game and I plan to replay it in preparation for the sequel but ain't no way this is worth more than $20 And settle down SEGA I know your reptilian executive brains perk up when you smell a chance for a slight profit in share values but jfc demonstrate a least an iota of integrity and keep the price at the 2021 price. This game came out in 2011. I'd say you should be ashamed at charging $60 for a PS3 era game but come on you don't feel shame at such scummy practices.Show moreShow less
how absolutely dare you this game died ten years ago, you completely abandoned it out of nowhere. and just because space marine 2 was *announced* you turn around and raise the price of this LONG dead game. the only reason, and i do mean the only reason space marine 2 was even considered, was because of the hardcore community who kept this corpse alive. how dare you your corporate greed is utterly despicable. every single person in this company should be utterly ashamed. disgusting. putrid. GREED, and nothing else. the best 40k game ever made, and all youre doing is contributing to the horrid behavior of games workshop while perpetuating the singular behavior that makes game devs so revolting. i hope space marine 2 fails. and all of you lose your jobs, none of you deserve one. furthermore, this kind of vile behavior deserves a class action lawsuit. its abhorrent, its despicable, its predatory. you are awful. everyone in that dev office, everyone in that publishing studio. screw a rake Sega, the wide end.Show moreShow less
I feel like I should hold a funeral service for this game after this week. It's been neglected for years but there were enough of us to keep PvP going to some degree. This will likely be the end of that. RIP SM1. Thanks for all the fun and no thanks for all the BS host migrations, glitches and hackers. Otherwise good sh!t. Rest easy you beautiful broken game...Show moreShow less
The campaign is not bad if one likes Warhammer 40k, but the multiplayer is pretty dead. The one match I was able to find were just high levels telling me to leave when I asked a question. All in all, just don't buy the collection; you get a bunch of DLCs only for multiplayer which is useless.Show moreShow less
3 years and 1700+ hrs later am still not bored of this game, so it's about time i did a review. Campaign/Single Player - The campaign is a lot of fun and has a great story, plus you will come to see the destrutive power of a single Space Marine and the weapons they own, by fighting wave after wave of Orks plus Chaos Forces. (don't want to give too much away) - The only bad thing for me was the difficulty, hard feels way to easy i've gone through the campaign on hard and only died once (sneeky Bloodletters) other then that it's brilliant. Exterminatus/Co-op - A bit like the Campaign as you fight wave after wave of Orks, but now you can do it with friends plus you have full freedom of which class and weapons you want to use (when you unlock them that is) - You are best playing this mode with friends as some public players like to show off and get as many kills as they can, this tactic is fine until the waves become harder and they end up dying a lot, then when all lives are gone they leave the game (lives are limited and you need them to respawn) Multiplayer/VS - First thing, if you are a gamer that cares about how many kills/deaths you get multiplayer is not for you, due to the amount of lag and sometimes hackers you will end up dying a lot, but if you game for fun then this is perfect for you even if your not W40K fan. - You can pick from 3 class types, Tactical Marine, Devastator Marine or an Assault Marine, each class has different weapons and perks so you can spend a lot of time experimenting to find out what suits you. - There is also an awesome customization feature, you can pick from many Chapters/Warbands or even create your own, you can also unlock different armour pieces for your Space Marine and Chaos Space Marine (so you could run into battle as a pink Chaos Marine with spikes) Overall: This game offers you something new from other shooter games, you can fly around the map as an Assault Marine or overwhelm your enemy with Heavy firepower the choice is yours. Single Player: 10/10 Multiplayer: 8/10 Host migration is a pain, it can make some matches unplayable. Thank the Emperor without him humanity would of fallen a long time ago EDIT: 03/05/2015 Bin asked a lot lately if mulitplayer is dead, you should be able to find matches for Seize Ground and Annihilation but Capture the Flag, Capture and Control plus Dreadnought Assault are dead for now, but there is a group called Red Thirst that gets players together to play these modes so if your interested in joining, the group is on my profile.Show moreShow less
I bought this game for ~$50 on release, -around 14 years ago. It’s now being sold for $75 as a 14 year old game. Classic GW pricing lmao. Great game, but negative review solely for the laughable WH40K pricing patterns.Show moreShow less
