I don't recommend this game. The game is fine and all but makes you VERY VERY DIZZY. The camera angle is locked onto your WOBBLY character and shakes as you run or turn your screen. When I say its locked onto your character, it's literally locked onto your character. If you want to turn your screen a direction just to look, your character also has to look. It's very annoying. After playing for half an hour, I felt sick to my stomach and very lightheaded. I can handle pretty much all games regardless of how the camera is but this game was just doing too much. If you can just fix the camera angle issue, it would be a really decent game.Show moreShow less
Litterally GTA 9Show moreShow less
This game is fun for a bit but there is barely anything to do. It's more a goof off with someone sandbox than a real game. The comparisons with Hit & Run or GTA are pretty unfounded. It's more like Human Fall Flat with vehicles and no objective.Show moreShow less
love this game. perfect game. thank u disguised toast. only wish i could play with more people than 4.Show moreShow less
The only reason I'm giving it a negative review is because of the screen shaking. This game is nearly unplayable for people who get motionsick easily. And if you don't get motionsick easy, this will make you motionsick. At least give an option to turn off the screen bobbing so more people can play it. I won't be able to play it until the screen bob goes away - its so bad it made me nearly vomit. I love the game completely, but please for peoples eyeballs and stomachs, give an option to turn off the screen bobbing and shaking.Show moreShow less
What an absolute gem of a game. It saddens me that until now people (including myself) were not aware of this games existence. It appeared to completely slip on the radar before trending recently. And it absolutely deserves that overwhelmingly positive score it has. This game has clearly taken a lot of inspiration from beloved childhood games, such as Henry Stickmin, Simpsons Hit and Run and, at least visually speaking, something like Unturned or Little Big Planet. The graphics are simplistic, but that is not a criticism. They're bright and bouncy and make you feel good. It has that quintessentially British humour, with much of the core of the game revolving around jelly (or jello for our American friends) and jelly-related terms. The music reminds me of Stardew Valley and similar games, and is light-hearted and adorable. A few missions have music that is evocatively similar to other games. For example, the pizza delivery mission plays a song intentionally similar to Spider Man's infamous side-mission, even including the music speeding up. Such detail and references are welcome, wholesome and fill me with joy. There is actually quite a lot to do in the game. At first it seems to not be the case, but as you expand the map and are made aware of the various island 'worlds' that make it up, then it is actually quite jam packed with content; especially considering the price. There's an assortment of vehicles, houses, pets and places to explore. You can customise your little Wobbly character with a variety of fun outfits. The quests are the perfect balance of relaxed difficulty: easy enough to have fun and also to sit back and not stress too much about it. I generally hate timed quests in games, but this game does them well with enough room for forgiving mistakes and are short and enjoyable enough to eagerly give a second and twentieth go. The co-op is fantastic. My only criticism is for some reason there is a controller button that allows me to spawn a second character in addition to my own and then splits the screen. The controls then become unplayable as it is attempting to use dual inputs, requiring me to restart. It isn't a major deal, but I hope they fix this very strange bug or feature? I'm unsure. Thankfully joining back into a game with someone is incredibly easy, progress is saved easily, the game loads quickly and is all-around well optimised for cooperative play. Joining missions with your friends is easy and allows you to equally reap the rewards for completing them. I would recommend playing it with friends over solo, as the missions are definitely oriented for multiple people. Not to say solo is not also not wonderfully enjoyable. The controls you might expect would be terrible, as this is a 'ragdoll physics' game akin to Goat Simulator. I think the controls are better. They are actually surprisingly responsive to such a game. The developers have clearly combined just enough physics as to be amusing without eternal frustration of bugging out. There are surprisingly few bugs in this regard. While I have managed to slingshot into the stratosphere a few times, it never broke the game or what I was doing and was instead enjoyably awaited. And for the few times I did clip through something, there is a respawn button, which should be ubiquitous in these games. The vehicles feel responsive but definitely control like much older titles where they are challenging beasts to turn at speed. All of this makes for much hilarity, without much frustration. I honestly cannot believe this game is still in Early Access for the amount of polish it has in most areas. If you're having a bad day. If this world is seeming just a little too existential, then come to Wobbly Island, buy a house for $1,000 to taste the sweet sugary tones of ownership and firmly attach your stubby gelatinous hands to any passing vehicles. Because, remember... Wibble wobble. Wibble wobble. Jelly on a plate.Show moreShow less
For it's single player I can recommend the game, as for the multiplayer I simply cannot in it's current state. I bought this game to play with my fiance but it completely unplayable no matter who the host is. Our internet is good and we live under the same roof so we should have no issues as we play other more demanding games with no issues that run under P2P (peer to peer) connections, after doing research on Reddit and Wobbly Life's Discord I found the problem lies in how the developers handle lag (which is adding a internal delay to your input in multiplayer to prevent stutters) but all this does is create massive delays in your input i'm talking +5 seconds and if it gets really out of hand you can see yourself stuck floating somewhere while the host sees you running off into the middle of nowhere and then you finally catchup after two minutes. This type of delay is unplayable because most of the "jobs" in Wobbly Life require you to use your reflexes and you physically cannot do that with an input delay. I really hate having to give a game like this a negative review, I can see it's potential and I can see it's charm but as it stands this is a buyer beware review as I've read numerous discussions of people falling into the same problem as myself and the developers have acknowledged this issue but it seems they refuse to look further or for a solution (I'm certain a dedicated server would fix this but they don't support that currently)Show moreShow less
Iplay this game with my grandson. He is way better at it than I am but we enjoy doing jobs, having sleep overs and deciding on which outfit to wear.Show moreShow less
Well, I have purchased this game and refunded for this simple reason : When you are not the host, theres a big input lag making it barely enjoyable for people joining you. Local play and hosting play great. The game look really funny and have a tons to do but when you are the guys joining the other one game, you have this input lag making it a pain in the ass to race, jump around and anything. Input lag like almost a full 1 second lag, keyboard or controller, networking bad optimisation. This was adressed couple of times in the discussions board with no feedback. If you plan to play this locally get it. Look fun and good content wise. If you want to play it online, you gonna have your friends mad about that and switch to another game unless they are 7 years old and dont see that. + a little detail while not game breaking but while im here reviewing, the camera shouldnt zoom this way when moving it vertical : when you move your right joystick upward or downward, instead of just going upper or lower, the camera zoom in onto your wobble. No game are made this way, i dont get it. Horizontal camera are just fine and this dont make the game unplayable tho, the input lag does.Show moreShow less
