I've been a big fan of Worms since Armageddon, and I was disappointed to discover that this game has almost none of the charm that I've come to love about the Worms series. This game feels like it's been given a big injection of Botox: bloated and shiny, but unnatural and excessive. The best part about Worms, in my opinion, was that you were free tomake it as fair or unfair as you wanted. The old school games had the perfect mix of control and chaos, making each game an unpredictable but fun mess. This game, with it's addition of worm "classes", needless excuses for DLC, and phoned-in humor makes it a chore to play. Gone is the zaniness and difficulty that makes me love Armageddon and World Party so much. Do yourself a favor and skip this game and go get Armageddon. You'll have a better time, trust meShow moreShow less

Buggy! Game's fun but has a lot of bugs, don't give the developers money as they don't seem intent on fixing their game anytime soon!!!Show moreShow less
So we made a drinking game called "Worms Bevolution", the rules are as follows ~ 1. If one of your worms die, you drink a shot. 2. If you can not damage an enemy worm on your turn, you drink a shot. 3. If you kill one of your own worms, (even by accident) you drink 2 shots. I'd recommend 4 players per game, you need a minimum of 4 shots per game, 8 if you're really dumb and kill all your own worms. Endless hours of drunken fun. This is probably my favourite iteration of Worms to play, especially when getting drunk with friends. You could also play the game without drinking, which is also pretty fun.Show moreShow less
For some reason, though obviously monetary, British developers Team17 decided in 2012 to prepare for players a new part of Worms, created from scratch, acquiring a new for the series engine Unity, thanks to which the worms and locations got three-dimensional forms. Let's see if the game will be able to impress the modern player? Graphics If on PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles the graphics looks acceptable, on PC it looks depressing, especially if you zoom in on the camera. Pale colors, everything is blurred, washed out, gray and unsophisticated. The situation is aggravated by the maps themselves: Some dull green sewers, dull sunny beaches, dull sunset farms. The situation could be better if the game had a map editor, but alas, we have what we have. Gameplay and Innovation Perhaps by revolution you mean physics and everything related to it. On the map there are various objects like giant wrenches and other such trash. They do not explode, but on the contrary, they are thrown away by a blast wave, can cover worms, and block them, clamping them in some corner. Such objects can be used as bridges and barriers. For this purpose even use “telekinesis” or “UFO”, thanks to which you can move the object to wherever the player wants, this is the first chip. The second is water, it can fill craters, and if the worm falls into it, it slowly sinks. Just in case you can not get out of such a pond, there is a special item for this purpose “Water Plug”, in which the water will drain into a black hole. Water can also flow down the slope, dragging the worms with itself, and for such cases also invented different weapons. Except that the water itself and its physics of flow resembles not like sour cream, not like transparent caviar. Its physics resembles anything but hydrogen oxide. I'm surprised that water doesn't conduct current, but it can put out fire, thank you very much. Yes, all these tricks have a place, but they do not change much in the basic gameplay, because everyone as used mainly Bazooka and Grenade, so they still use them. Other aspects Finally the “Revolution” is not at all the fact that worms can now be of different types. Heavy crawls slowly, but does a lot of damage; Scientist can heal its allies at the beginning of the round; Scout does little damage, but can move very fast. Not a bad innovation, but since the player initially has standard worms in the ranks, this feature is not particularly useful. It would be better if the developers added the number of places in the team, because the squad can be only 4 worms. When Worms 3D was released in its time, it also seriously cut down the arsenal, weapons and the maximum number of worms in the team, after returning to 2D the maximum number of worms remained at the same level. Only with the release of Worms W.M.D. did the developers bring back most of the weapon arsenal, including the ability to add up to 8 worms to a team, which was originally in Armageddon. There are puzzles and a small campaign for single player, but it's all trivia, as most of the time not many people played them. Everyone was playing multiplayer. What's here? A meager match customization and three modes “Classic”, “Deathmatch” and “Strongholds”. And the first two are not much different from each other, and in the third mode, teams start in their pre-selected castle settings. Not a bad mode that puts the player in a non-standard situation. Conclusion Alas, Team17's revolution was rather weak. I can't say that this is one of the worst parts of Worms series, because the basic concept still works, it's very hard to ruin the formula, you can still enjoy the gameplay, but none of the above mentioned innovations makes the game better. P.s. The most interesting thing is that Worms Revolution was developed with the help of the series' founding father back under the wing of Team17.Show moreShow less
It's a 2D Worms game but with a 3D engine, unlike previous Worm games in the past ,objects you see sticking out of the terrain in a map now have physics properties, they can bounc around, crush other worms, explodes, emit poison gas or even throw water around and there's now a seperate water in the game that also has some very nice looking physics to it when it moves around, this water doesn't instant kill your worms like the regular water at the bottom of the map but instead drains 1-3 HP per turn if a worm is submerged in it and everything in it moves slower (both worms and projectiles). There's also now classes in the game, Scout,Heavy and Scientists (+ the normal worm). Heavy is the slowest but can take the most abuse Scout is the fastest, has the highest jumps and can perform some crazy maneuvers while walking thru terrain buuut has the lowest HP and dies the fastest The Scientist is pretty much a healer, each turn he heals 5hp and that's about it. However if you don't wanna play with these new classes you can just simply play the Classic mode where every worm is a regular worm like in the older games. That's pretty much it, everything else is the same, It's the Worms game we all know and love since the 90's. Only major complaint i have, there's a big lack of enviroments, all you have is Beach,Sewers,Horror and a 4th one which i can't remember the name of atm, while in older Worms games you usully had at least 6 to 10 (sometimes more) enviroments for a map to keep things abit more esteticly different each time. Bottom line, it's still Worms but with a new makeover and some new fun things added it. Totally worth picking up during a nice sale and playing a few matches with your friends either via the internet or on a single computer.Show moreShow less

I need to start from history to figure out if its a good game or not. Im a big fun of worms since WORMS 1 - WORMS 1 & 2 The first and Armageddon was crazy fun! You never can predict what will going on. Those tiny little worms , stuck in pixels and dies like a water drops. With a dozen fun weapons. ps: there was also a upgraded version of Armageddon ITS FUN! - WORMS 3D (all other versions) Its was something new, still fun but not in the same way. (if it was in 2015 , it would be a good game after years of polishing). For me it was special, not like before... but i played it cause i like worms. I loved a big big high platforms and unpredictable shooting. - WORMS Revolution They tried to restore a Armageddon fun and they kinda made it! Thanks TEAM17 Pros: - Cool polished graphics - If you pass a single mode, you are the master. - Fun - Challenges - Every time i play worms with friend, even with skills you never know who will win. Cons - THE TIME of calculation of a AI is too LONG! - THE AI is too predictable and really mathematically aiming (that is not fun) - The water is not a water; its gelatin - Many weapons are gone - Not a full destructible area (in old worms it was something that i loved to do , hit a Aliluia grenade and it will blow a half of the level with several mini impacts, but here is not the same) - No one never is online, poor multi player. - Cant play single player maps with my friends.. VERDICT: If you need a challenge try WORMS if you love UNPREDICTABLE moments, try WORMS. If you never played WORMS, you must try WORMS.Show moreShow less
Depressingly average. Certain mechanics are clunky, the multiplayer chat is glitchy and the story is tedious - there are only so many times you can be bothered to play vs. AI. Can be enjoyable though when vs. friends.Show moreShow less
