Rating: ★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆ (4/10) Watch Dogs Legion is the most disappointing entry in the Watch Dogs series a game that tries to innovate but ends up feeling empty, soulless, and directionless. After completing the story and all achievements, it’s clear that while the idea was ambitious, the execution completely missed what made the first two games special. Story Mode Set in a futuristic version of London, Legion tells a story about rebellion against surveillance and corruption. It sounds like classic Watch Dogs material, but the story completely lacks emotion, focus, and motivation. There’s no main character to drive the narrative forward, and without a main character, it becomes impossible to care about what’s happening. The plot feels disconnected and not really interesting, the pacing is uneven, and the writing often feels like it’s just there to fill space rather than make you think or feel anything. Play as anyone The biggest selling point the ability to recruit and play as anyone is both the most creative and most damaging part of the game. On paper, it’s revolutionary. In practice, it’s shallow, repetitive, and emotionless. All characters feel identical, just with different voices, faces, and accents. The dialogues are dull and robotic, clearly limited by the fact that recording real, unique lines for hundreds of random characters was impossible. What could’ve been an immersive system turns into a hollow gimmick that completely destroys storytelling and connection. Gameplay Gameplay is still functional, but compared to Watch Dogs 2, it’s a major step back. The hacking system has lost many of its deeper features, leaving behind a simplified version that feels repetitive and uninspired. Most hacks are single button actions that quickly lose their charm. Combat and stealth are serviceable but repetitive, and missions lack the variety or flexibility that made the previous games so satisfying to replay. Open World The one thing Legion does right is graphics and visual atmosphere. London looks stunning from rainy neon lit streets to the detailed landmarks and reflections, it’s easily one of Ubisoft’s best looking worlds. However, once you look past the lighting and effects, the city feels lifeless. Character models are stiff, animations are outdated, and NPCs behave mechanically. For a 2020 game, it looks good technically but feels outdated in everything else. DLC Bloodline The Bloodline DLC is the only part of Legion worth playing. Bringing back Aiden Pearce and Wrench from the previous games gives the story focus, emotion, and identity all the things missing from the main campaign. It’s well written, full of callbacks, and actually feels like a proper Watch Dogs story. Honestly, Bloodline should have been the main game. Achievements 100% Finishing all achievements isn’t hard, but it’s not rewarding either it takes time and a lot of useless grind. The side content is repetitive, and without interesting characters or strong motivation, going for 100% feels more like a checklist than an accomplishment. Conclusion Watch Dogs Legion is a flashy but hollow sequel a game with great visuals and big ambitions that collapse under the weight of poor storytelling and shallow design. The “play as anyone” mechanic sounds good, but it removes the emotional connection that made the first two games special. The story is dull, the dialogue is lifeless, and the gameplay is limited. Only the graphics and the Bloodline DLC stand out as positives. It’s not unplayable, but it’s far from what Watch Dogs used to be. Gioco bellissimo, pieno di colpi di scena con una storia articolata e completa, in alcuni pezzi commuovente, in altri invece divertente. E per la storia non si poteva chiedere meglio. Il sistema di combattimento piuttosto articolato. poco piú che mediocre ma se lo trovate in sconto é piú che consigliato. questo ultimo WD sembrerebbe essere una versione comunista avanzata di WD2. non puoi possedere veicoli e non puoi possedere armi, non hai neanche un vero e proprio personaggio personale e non puoi equipaggiare piú di un gadget alla volta. abbastanza piatto anche se percepisco che la ubi qui ha provato a lavorare un pó sull'impatto del giocatore lavorando sugli ambienti e le grafiche, ma non é riuscita a far arrivare il messaggio. evidetemente é studiato male.
