ASUS TUF Gaming 7X Is Clearly Positioned for Valorant Players
ASUS TUF Gaming 7X Pairs a Mobile Ultra 9 With RTX 5060 Ti for Dorm-Room Gaming
ASUS says the ASUS TUF Gaming 7X is a dorm-room desktop for college students seeking a large display, strong performance, and good value. It targets games such as Valorant, alongside content creation and AI workloads. The system pairs a mobile Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX with an ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, while a seasonal subsidy of up to CNY 1,500 is available in some regions.
The processor uses the Arrow Lake architecture, with 24 cores, 24 threads, a maximum performance-core boost clock of 5.4GHz, and 76MB of L2+L3 cache. The Blackwell-based graphics card includes 8GB of GDDR7 memory, 4,608 CUDA cores, and up to 759 TOPS of AI performance.

The RTX 5060 Ti also supports fifth-generation Tensor Cores, fourth-generation RT Cores, and new SM multiprocessors, along with NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 dynamic multi-frame generation, Reflex 2, and NVIDIA Studio. ASUS says the configuration is designed for new AAA games at 2K resolution while maintaining stronger 1% Low frame rates in competitive online games.
The TUF Gaming 7X is therefore aimed at performance rather than serving as a bare-minimum entry-level machine. Its 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler and four-fan cooling system can support up to 180W of processor power, allowing for extended gaming and rendering sessions.
The system uses a 47L showcase-style case with three dual-layer RGB fans, a concealed side intake, and a 6.5H tempered-glass side panel. The panel has an ITO coating that helps shield against electromagnetic interference while keeping the internal lighting visible. ASUS’s Armoury Crate control center supports more than 10 preset lighting effects, custom adjustments, and Aura Sync with TUF-series peripherals.

The standard memory and storage configuration is 16GB DDR5 and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. That is adequate for gaming, but less generous for creative software and heavy multitasking, especially if you plan to keep the system for four years. Users may need to upgrade sooner than expected.
The motherboard does include expansion slots and connectors, and self-installed upgrades do not affect the system warranty. That is a practical advantage over branded desktops with fewer upgrade options.

Connectivity includes 6 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, DisplayPort, HDMI, and RJ-45. The selection covers multiple displays, keyboard and mouse setups, external storage, and other connected devices.
The desktop ships with a licensed copy of Windows 11, 3 years of on-site service, and a hotline operating seven days a week, nine hours a day. That service coverage may also make the system easier to manage for students buying their first desktop.
Price is the deciding factor. Where the regional subsidy applies, the Ultra 9 and RTX 5060 Ti combination becomes a more competitive option. Without that subsidy, buyers should factor in the 16GB memory limit and the system’s 47L size, then compare it with similarly priced custom-built PCs.
