Nucleares now ¥9.9 as dev pulls all-nighter for Chinese localization
The attitude deserves credit, regardless of how the game feels.

Nuclear Element Breakthrough! launches in Early Access on May 9, 2026, priced at 9.9 yuan in China. Developer Marcel Omori, a Brazilian based in Tokyo, built this solo. To thank Chinese players, he stayed up nights hand-crafting a pseudo-Chinese localization. Main menu, tutorials, NPC dialogue—all covered. Not machine translation laziness.

Pricing is straightforward. Japan gets 999 yen, US gets $7.99, China gets 9.9 yuan. At this price point, even piracy looks expensive. Solo developers need early cash flow. Understandable.

Core gameplay is done, but content volume isn't there yet—hence the EA testing phase. Pixel-art action game. Actual feel and frame performance need hands-on testing. Tutorial interface looks clear enough; control logic shouldn't be complicated.

Buying advice: 9.9 yuan is low-risk experimentation. Worth supporting if you back indie devs. But EA stage means limited content—that's stated upfront. Don't expect a complete experience. Waiting for full release works too, though price will likely climb. Solo development takes time. Set expectations accordingly.

One last thing: Chinese support in indie games remains a pain point. This developer pulled all-nighters doing localization himself. Whether the game delivers is separate—this sincerity deserves recognition.
