Cologne Sale Slashes 3,101 Games: Is Crimson Desert at HK$446 a Smart Buy?

The Hong Kong PlayStation Store’s gamescom Sale opened on August 26, with 3,101 games and add-ons discounted to as little as 25% of the original price through September 9. The headline is the catalog’s size, but the real value is a small clutch of recent, high-profile releases.

PSN’s big seasonal sales are starting to look like end-of-season clearance racks: huge inventory, broad categories, and only a few prices worth remembering. This round, the standouts are all recent heavyweights. Crimson Desert: Enhanced Edition Standard Edition is down to HK$446.4, 007: First Light Standard Edition to HK$374.4, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Standard Edition to HK$318.4, and Saros Deluxe Edition to HK$471. The rest of the 3,101-item pool is mostly back-catalog ballast.

Taken together, these prices sit somewhere between picking up a used disc and paying full digital price. They are not impulse buys, nor are they deep cuts aimed at clearing old stock. Among the four featured new releases, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at HK$318.4 is the cheapest entry point, while Saros Deluxe Edition at HK$471 lands close enough to a standard AAA launch price that it is clearly aimed at committed fans, not curious browsers. The pricing says premium, not fire sale.

The “as low as 25%” banner is more of a traffic magnet than a promise. What actually matters is whether the game you have been waiting for made it onto the list. If you have already been eyeing Crimson Desert: Enhanced Edition or 007: First Light, this is the first meaningful post-launch discount, and that timing is the real news. Comparing percentage badges is less useful than checking the specific titles you care about.

Overall, the gamescom promotion is a strong but routine high point on the Hong Kong PSN calendar. Its best value is not in the headline discount; it is in the overlap between those 3,101 discounted items and your own wishlist.
