Steam Player Breaks Level 6000 After Spending $800,000 on the Platform
A Steam user named stasik just became the platform's first player to break level 6000. His account currently sits at level 6022 with a total XP count of 181.6 million—numbers that redefine what's possible on the platform.

The method behind this achievement is even more extreme. Over 90% of stasik's XP came from the 2024 Summer Sale event, where he pushed a single event badge past level 1.7 million. To get there, he swept millions of event trading cards off the Steam Community Market and crafted at least 1.816 million badge sets. At a conservative market rate of €0.3 per badge set, the actual cost exceeds €726,400—roughly ¥5.6 million.
The account, originally registered in Belarus, has since relocated to the United Arab Emirates. His library holds over 2.8 thousand games, essentially everything Steam has to offer. This level of spending puts him in a tier most players will never see—the majority haven't even touched level 1000.
From a pure ROI perspective, that ¥5.6 million buys nothing but a number and legendary status in the community. Steam's level system is purely cosmetic, with no impact on gameplay or account privileges. But for hardcore collectors and data obsessives, the challenge itself is the reward. stasik proved one thing with cold cash: Steam's level ceiling can be pushed as high as you're willing to pay.
