Has the *Bloodborne* port saga taken another twist? Don’t stay up all night waiting just yet
It finally powered on Saturday afternoon, and I originally wanted to check whether there had been any new movement on Bloodborne. But after scrolling through the news, it felt like trying to grab a weekend discount ticket all over again: just when you see a glimmer of hope, you turn around and it says sold out. For office workers, the worst thing is not having no news at all, but being strung along by rumors.

The source of this latest rumor was speculation on social media that Nixxes Software, a studio well known for ports, was handling a Bloodborne port. The reason people took it seriously wasn’t because it came out of nowhere, but because the person who first shared the information, AlexandreNGameR, had previously leaked recent State of Play content accurately ahead of time, which boosted his credibility considerably. It’s kind of like that person at work who always somehow knows the holiday schedule changes in advance—once they speak up, people naturally tend to believe them a bit more.
That said, the hype was quickly tamped down by Alexandre himself. Fans dug up an old tweet he wrote in October 2025 mentioning Nixxes and congratulating the studio on finishing work related to Bloodborne, which caused speculation to spread rapidly. But Alexandre later clarified things personally, and his meaning was very clear: some of what he had said before wasn’t actually a leak at all, and much of it was just his personal speculation.
More importantly, his further comments on Bloodborne were actually pretty discouraging. He said the situation currently doesn’t look optimistic, and although he personally hopes Nixxes will handle a remake, he has no concrete information in hand. In other words, at this stage there is neither any substantive news of a port nor any confirmed remake plan. As of the time the original article was published, the game still had not been officially announced for PC or multiple platforms.
It’s also worth explaining why people immediately looked to Nixxes. The studio is already known for its porting expertise and has handled a large number of PC ports for SE games in the past, so whenever old games coming to PC are mentioned, players naturally think of it first. The problem, however, is that being good at this kind of work does not mean it is currently working on Bloodborne. The difference is like “the boss says there’s a chance of a raise” versus “the salary has already hit your account”—they sound close, but they feel completely different.
If you’re like me and usually only have time to scroll through the news on the subway, then the core takeaway of this story is really just one sentence: don’t set aside time for a Bloodborne port just yet, and definitely don’t burn through your emotions in advance. For PC players in particular, the smartest move right now is to keep waiting and only get excited once there’s official confirmation. After all, weekend gaming time is already limited, and spending it chasing a rumor that still hasn’t materialized really isn’t worth it.
Judging from the community’s mood, people obviously still hope this turns out to be true. After all, Bloodborne has remained one of those lingering regrets among players for years, and every time there’s even the slightest hint of news, discussion immediately surges again. Still, enthusiasm is enthusiasm, but the most reliable conclusion for now is this: the rumor has already been clarified, you can keep your hopes alive, but you can skip staying up late refreshing for updates.
