Gigabyte's AI hardware wins Red Dot Award with RTX 5090 split design
GIGABYTE's AI hardware lineup claimed Red Dot Design Awards across motherboards, graphics cards, and gaming laptops—including the AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 INFINITY, AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX, X870 series motherboards, and AERO/GAMING notebooks.

The AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 INFINITY uses a split-PCB design with WINDFORCE Hyperburst cooling—a structural answer to flagship GPU thermals. Compared to traditional monolithic boards, this layout gives heat pipes more routing freedom, theoretically handling the 5090's 400W+ power draw.
The X870 AORUS STEALTH ICE features D5 technology that unlocks DDR5 memory performance with one click—a practical tool for DIY builders. The X870E series goes further with X3D Turbo Mode 2.0, using an integrated AI chip for dynamic overclocking. This means CPUs like the 7800X3D can extract extra performance while maintaining stability.
The AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX supports Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, delivering 40Gbps bandwidth for external GPU setups on ultrabooks. On the laptop side, the AERO X16 and GAMING A16 PRO integrate GiMATE AI assistant with Creator and Coder functions built into the system layer—faster response than cloud solutions without network dependency.
GIGABYTE's edge AI ecosystem covers the full chain from hardware cooling to AI compute scheduling. The Red Dot Awards recognize design, but for PC users, whether these products make AI features genuinely useful matters more. The 5090's split cooling and motherboard AI overclocking do offer new directions for the high-end hardware market.
