On August 22, the CyberLeek account released two more gameplay videos from GTA6, Rockstar Games' upcoming open-world title, as Take-Two pursued a DMCA subpoena in federal court in New York and sent GitHub a takedown notice. The new footage shows supercar driving, an armed robbery, and a strip-club scene.

The two clips are the seventh and eighth leaks reported this week. In the strip-club footage, a character says "take a leak." Combined with the CyberLeek account name, the line has been widely interpreted as a pun mocking Take-Two and Rockstar.

The concern goes beyond isolated gameplay clips. Leaked scenes can reveal mission pacing, character interactions, and the design of the city's activities before players experience them for themselves.

The greater concern is that the leaker may possess a complete development build. If future disclosures expand from individual scenes to major story content, players could lose some of the incentive to discover the world for themselves when the game launches. Earlier leaked videos also promoted a meme coin sharing CyberLeek's name. Industry observers widely regard that pattern as an attempt to use the leaks to generate attention and profit from cryptocurrency.

The cryptocurrency promotion has also turned the leaks into a commercial and copyright dispute. Take-Two has asked Microsoft and Discord to provide the identities linked to the accounts involved, while also asking GitHub to shut down the relevant code repository.

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York has approved the subpoena targeting Microsoft. Xbox says it will fully cooperate with efforts to protect intellectual property. Discord says it will review the matter through its standard industry process and comply with proper judicial subpoenas.

Rockstar still has not determined the source of the leaks or how the material left the company. According to reports from international outlets, the team is reportedly frustrated and angry.

For players, the most sensible response is to avoid unauthorized footage, especially any links promoting the CyberLeek meme coin. The next official update will be the extended gameplay preview scheduled to arrive on Netflix on August 27.

The promotional schedule remains unchanged. GTA6 is still planned for release on consoles on 2026-11-19, or November 19, 2026. For a sandbox game built around free exploration and systemic interaction, avoiding leaks helps preserve the experience of discovering the city, its missions, and its smaller details for the first time.
