Games on the Nintendo NS2 platform occupied the top two spots, like two warm homes, guarding players' initial dreams of encounter and adventure. "Pokémon Pokopia" sold over 23,000 copies in a single week, with cumulative sales approaching 900,000. This enduring popularity recalls the reissue of a classic novel, offering something new with every read. "Mario Kart World" has cumulative sales nearing 2.9 million copies; this evergreen vitality stems from its precise capture of the essence of fun. In contrast, the cold silence of space requires players to actively imbue it with meaning; this is an entirely different narrative contract, testing the players' patience.

From another perspective, "Starfield" on the PS5 platform took third place on the chart, with a single-week figure of 5,368 copies appearing rather lonely. On a narrative level, this work attempted to construct a grand space opera, yet often revealed signs of rushing in the details. Unfortunately, the motivations of some characters seem rushed and added as an afterthought, completely unconvincing, which greatly diminishes the drive to explore. In the end, only an empty star map remained, quietly flashing with cold light on the screen.

But the deeper question is, when players are accustomed to fragmented entertainment, do they still have the patience to read through this hefty space diary? Nevertheless, achieving such results in the Japanese market proves that single-player narrative games still have a place, even if imperfect. We regret that it did not reach perfection, yet we should also cherish this attempt daring to be solitary. After all, amidst the flood of commerce, the story itself deserves to be taken seriously.
