Ubisoft is finally done with empty promises and hype this time. The Black Flag Remake showcase is set for April 23rd. Veteran players know just how great the ship combat handling is. Hope they don't mess with the hitboxes too outrageously. If the remaster has high input lag, I'm dropping it immediately. After all, competitive players care most about frame rate performance. The story is just cutscenes to me, anyway.

Let's talk about Sony's recent mandatory age verification moves. Users in the UK and Ireland must verify their identity within next year. It's like having to verify controller permissions before executing a move. Protecting minors is fine, but don't impact adult players. Stable frame rates are more important than anything, you need to know that. A verification process that's too long is basically huge input lag.

Additionally, Microsoft's new CEO wants to have a serious chat with the predecessor. Asha Sharma invited former executives to dialogue and exchange ideas. She said she really wants to find a time for us to have a good chat. The predecessor said the diagnosis was unfavorable but they are still trying hard. The maneuvering in the console circle is as exciting as the neutral game in fighting games. It will probably take a long time for both sides to reconcile.

Finally, a little advice for all you competitive players. Remember to camp out and watch the Black Flag showcase live on time. Don't get stuck at the login screen with Sony's age verification when the time comes. Regarding platform wars, we only care if the game is actually fun. If the handling isn't right, all marketing is just garbage nonsense. Only good games are worth wasting our time on. If Ubisoft messes up, I absolutely won't buy into it again.
