Devil May Cry 5 Switch 2 Version Sparks Debate

Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, with Capcom opening digital downloads on June 23, 2026. Capcom says this is the full version, and it runs at a stable 60 fps in both handheld and TV mode.

That frame rate matters because Devil May Cry 5 has always been about stylish combos, cancels, and dodges chained together at speed. On Switch 2, Capcom says that rhythm holds whether you are playing on the go or on a television, which is the main selling point of this port.

The pricing is simple. The digital edition normally costs 3990 yen, but it is discounted to 2990 yen, or about RMB 144, a 25% cut that runs until 23:59 on July 31, 2026. The physical edition will launch on August 28, 2026 at 3990 yen including tax, or about RMB 192.

If you want the download version, you can buy it directly through the page after logging in with a Nintendo account. It is the better option if you want the game right away and do not want to wait for shipping.

The appeal is still the same: Devil May Cry 5 rewards precision, speed, and score chasing. If you already like action games built around execution, this version is an easy recommendation. If you prefer slower-paced games with shorter sessions, it is probably not the first thing you will boot up.
