"Elden Ring" Live-Action Film Scheduled for 2028 – Will It Be Any Good?

The news is confirmed. But the wind-up for this release is really too long. Releasing on March 3, 2028. Waiting is more agonizing than practicing punishes. A24 is partnering with Bandai Namco to make good on the hype. Production has officially kicked off. It's claimed to be the most ambitious commercial project.

Alex Garland is directing and writing. Hidetaka Miyazaki is providing creative guidance. Actors like Cailee Spaeny are joining the cast. The cast hitbox looks decent. Now, about the plot adaptation. Movie framerate isn't like controller input. The community worries the vibe won't be right. After all, interactivity can't be replicated.

One last point. I've seen too many game adaptations end poorly. Unless the combat feel is tuned just right, I won't buy it. It needs to be faithful to the original yet refreshed on the big screen. Hope the optimization doesn't tank like Dark Souls 2.
