Granblue Fantasy Relink DLC Set for 2026 as the Fight Resumes

Granblue Fantasy: Relink expansion Endless Dusk has unveiled its final trailer, "Sky of Unforgotten Memories," and confirmed a release date of July 9, 2026. According to the official announcement, the DLC will launch on Switch 2, PS5, PS4, and Steam, pushing the Sky Realm into what the developer calls a new stage of "endless war." The official pitch frames it as more than a story add-on: a broader expansion of the systems that defined the base game.

By ARPG expansion standards, Endless Dusk looks notably focused. Rather than simply adding another story chapter, it continues to build on Granblue Fantasy: Relink as an ARPG known for its large roster and exhilarating combat, while significantly evolving that foundation. The official outline highlights two things: it inherits and deepens the multiplayer content that was already well received, and it also adds a substantial batch of new elements for solo offline challenges.

That makes the expansion sound less like a side story and more like a meaningful extension of the game. A lot of ARPG add-ons lean hard into online loot grinding or pivot almost entirely to single-player story content. Here, both co-op players and solo players are clearly being accounted for. For players across all platforms, that matters more than simply getting a few extra bosses, because it shapes whether this is something you clear once and drop, or something worth returning to for repeat challenges.

Ultimately, this resulted in the cause of a fusion designed specifically for purification.

The platform lineup also stands out. Steam, PS5, and PS4 are expected enough, but the simultaneous addition of Switch 2 suggests a more comprehensive day-one platform push. PC players usually care more about frame rate and settings flexibility, while console players tend to value ease of access and the multiplayer environment. If Switch 2 handles handheld-style play well, a mission-based, fast-paced ARPG like Relink should fit shorter sessions naturally.

Compared with similar games, Granblue Fantasy: Relink has always stood out most for the way it combines flashy action with multiplayer co-op, rather than following the more single-player-driven ARPG route. Endless Dusk continues to strengthen that multiplayer side while adding solo challenge content, extending the game's strengths instead of changing course. It is a conservative choice, but a smart one. At least from the direction outlined so far, the expansion does not dilute the most distinctive parts of the original.

As purchase advice, players who already spend most of their time in Granblue Fantasy: Relink on multiplayer runs should keep this DLC firmly on their radar, because the clearest new material currently announced is tied to the expansion of co-op play. On the other hand, if the base game never did much for you and you are only looking for an extra slice of story, it makes more sense to wait for more concrete details on content volume before deciding. So far, what is confirmed is the direction of the expansion and its July 9, 2026 release date. The actual challenge depth, campaign length, and platform performance differences will need more hands-on coverage to pin down.

Taken as a whole, the most interesting part of Endless Dusk is not simply that Granblue Fantasy: Relink is getting new DLC. It is that the expansion puts deeper multiplayer support and stronger offline content on the table at the same time. More than a trailer-driven tease, this feels like a message to existing players: this is not a brief encore, but an attempt to keep Relink moving forward for the long term.

The endless war tone sounds a lot more interesting to me than a simple epilogue, and launching on Switch 2 as well as PS5/PS4/Steam should keep the player base healthy.

Glad they’re doing more than just story stuff here; stronger co-op plus tougher solo challenges makes this feel worth checking out next July.

Fair point, but I’m still waiting on reviews and pricing since system overhauls can be hit or miss; launching July 9 on Steam at least makes it easy to watch post-launch sentiment first.
