Honor of Kings: World is now available on PC! How many rewards can you claim this time?
If launching a new game is like setting off on an adventure, then the PC release of Honor of Kings: World feels more like opening the city gates first for a group of players eager to head out. On April 10, Honor of Kings: World officially launched on PC. Players who want to jump in right away can now visit the Xinyue Club page through a computer browser to download the client and conveniently claim exclusive event rewards at the same time. For players used to a big-screen experience, this step means more than just “it’s playable now” — it also marks the shift from the pre-registration phase into the real launch stage.

What’s most worth discussing about this launch is not just that the client is now available, but that Xinyue Club has turned the event into a very clear progression path. PART 01 focuses on earning draw chances by completing your first download, registering a character, and finishing tasks. The prize pool contains Q Coin red packets, with limited quantities available on a first-come, first-served basis. This design clearly encourages players to complete the initial login flow as early as possible. PART 02, by contrast, is more like a standard launch gift package route: after registering a character and entering the game, players can gradually unlock rewards by completing designated tasks, making it especially suitable for those already planning to seriously dive in from the start.

If you’re one of the longtime followers who stayed tuned during the pre-registration period, this time you can also redeem the eligibility you accumulated earlier through PART 04 and PART 06. Simply put, as long as you participated in Xinyue Club-related events during the pre-registration stage and successfully obtained reward eligibility, then after completing your first download and registering for Honor of Kings: World through Xinyue, you’ll be able to claim the corresponding rewards. This arrangement is fairly friendly to veteran players, and at the very least avoids the awkward situation where “things were lively during pre-registration, but once the official launch arrived, everything was forgotten.” At the same time, PART 05 also provides additional draw opportunities after downloading and registering, creating a dual-track incentive structure where both new and returning players can get what they need.

Even more interestingly, the official team has not focused the pace solely on the PC side. The event information has already made it clear that the mobile version is scheduled for April, and Android users can already pre-download the mobile resource pack now and claim rewards related to “mobile pre-download.” This shows that Honor of Kings: World is currently adopting a very typical dual-platform rollout strategy: the PC version first builds up the core experience and launch momentum, while the mobile version follows closely behind to absorb a much larger influx of users. For a new title backed by a familiar IP, this approach is not unusual, but it is indeed effective, because it caters both to PC players who value graphics and control space, and to the much larger mobile ecosystem that it has no intention of abandoning.

If you ask me whether it’s worth jumping in right now, my suggestion is straightforward: players planning to play on PC should prioritize completing their first download and registration through the Xinyue channel to fully claim all the launch benefits at once; meanwhile, Android users who have been waiting for the mobile version can at least get the resource pack ready in advance and make sure not to miss the pre-download rewards. From a content operations perspective, this launch of Honor of Kings: World is not simply an “opening of the servers,” but more like a long-term recruitment campaign unfolding in stages. What will truly determine its word-of-mouth next is still the actual in-game experience, but at least for this first step of the launch, it has arranged the entry points, rewards, and pacing clearly enough.
