Spending 3,488 Yuan on a watch? Might as well save up and wait for GTA6!
I'd give it a seven out of ten. After all, at this price, you could buy half a controller. Huawei's idea of stuffing earbuds into a watch this time is indeed quite bold. It's like trying to stuff a CD drive into a cartridge back in the day—very creative. The titanium alloy case is reduced to 54.5 grams, making it less burdensome. But when it comes to the gaming experience, it's not as substantial as the vibration motors back in the day.

The screen brightness is 3000 nits, so seeing information clearly outdoors is no problem. The earbuds last for 3 hours on a single charge for music, which isn't enough to clear a normal dungeon. To put it plainly, this is just a health monitor that can make noise. It's compatible with Android and Apple, which is much better than some console exclusives. But having said that, 3488 yuan is indeed not cheap.
The pulse wave atrial fibrillation detection feature serves as a reminder for players who stay up late. The sleep apnea detection is better than dying suddenly with no one knowing. For us old-school players of this generation, health is indeed the fundamental asset. But spending so much money just for this feature, I don't think it's necessary. Current digital products always seem to like piling on useless specs.
Just like those handheld consoles with screens back in the day, they all ended up collecting dust. It goes on sale on April 25th; those with spare cash can go give it a try. The Titanium Space Silver version costs 3988, which is ridiculously expensive. The Amber Brown and Obsidian Black are slightly cheaper, but still enough to buy a game. If you're buying it for gaming, I suggest waiting for "GTA 6" instead.
After all, that's truly the thing that can make us forget time. A watch is just an accessory; don't let it become your main spending focus. Truly good games never need to rely on a watch to add value. Keeping a skeptical mindset is right, after all, we've seen too many AAA titles of the year fail. This time, Huawei's new product is only worth a seven-out-of-ten rating from me.
