Blogger ETA Prime released Intel Panther Lake Arc G3 Extreme performance data on April 30 through simulated testing—Cyberpunk 2077 hit 160+ fps with 4x XeSS MFG enabled, Forza Horizon 5 broke 100 fps at 1080p medium settings, comprehensively outpacing AMD's Ryzen Z2 Extreme.

The testing setup was brutal. ETA Prime disabled two P-cores on a Core Ultra X7 358H and capped TDP to simulate the Arc G3 Extreme's 14-core configuration. Four AAA titles delivered across the board. Red Dead Redemption 2 approached 60 fps at 1080p medium, dropping to 900p or enabling FSR pushed it past 60 consistently. Spider-Man 2 held 61 fps at 25W with XeSS medium, frame generation brought it above 70 fps at 18W. Cyberpunk 2077 cleared 60 fps at 25W using Steam Deck presets with XeSS, then exploded to 160+ fps once MFG kicked in. The efficiency numbers check out.

The handheld market is shifting. Arc G3 series runs on Intel's new CPU and GPU architecture, boosts to 4.7GHz, packs up to 12 Xe3 GPU cores. Forza Horizon 5 maintained 60+ fps at 12W low power mode—that efficiency directly threatens AMD Ryzen Z2 territory. AMD faces real pressure here. Z2 Extreme carries flagship positioning, but test data shows Intel nailed the performance-per-watt sweet spot this round.

Handheld buyers should wait. If you're weighing next-gen ROG Ally versus Legion Go, Intel Arc G3's real-world results prove it's a legitimate third option. 160 fps in Cyberpunk 2077 at 25W, 70 fps in Spider-Man 2 at 18W—that's aggressive performance for portable hardware. AMD needs more convincing data to defend market share, otherwise Intel's genuinely competing for the 2026 handheld chip crown.
