《吉时已到》 Announced, With 烛龙 Back in Familiar Tomb-Raiding Territory
Shanghai Aurogon today released the first trailer for its new game, 《吉时已到》, confirming it as a single-player buyout title being developed alongside 《古剑四》. Its theme is ruins exploration, and players have already drawn a direct comparison to 《古墓丽影》.

Aurogon seems to have found a familiar lane. In the first 《古剑》, players explored Qin Shi Huang’s Mausoleum for Yuheng; in the second, they entered the Juandu underground palace for the Zhaoming sword hilt; in the third, they searched the Xuanyuan Imperial Mausoleum for Taisui. Tomb and underground exploration has run through the whole series, so turning ruins exploration into a standalone project feels like a natural extension.

Judging from the trailer, the art direction continues Aurogon’s Eastern fantasy style. The shot of two characters fighting in ruined architecture under the rain looks notable, but the impact of combat and the level of environmental interaction still need a real gameplay demo before they can be judged.
The single-player buyout model is good news. It means there is no need to worry about stat-driven monetization or gacha-style spending, leaving the team to focus on level design and puzzle mechanics. Aurogon’s dungeon-design experience from the 《古剑》 series may have more room to show here.
One concern remains: running two projects at the same time carries real risk. Whether 《古剑四》’s progress will be affected, and how many resources 《吉时已到》 can receive, are still open questions. The next real gameplay showcase will matter.
