On saleCyberpunk 2077Intel Integrated Graphics Hits 63 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077
Notebookcheck recently tested the MSI Prestige 16 AI+, a business-focused thin-and-light laptop equipped with Intel's next-generation Panther Lake processor. The headline result is unusually direct: its new Intel Arc B39/B390 integrated graphics can deliver up to an 80% gaming performance uplift over the previous 140T iGPU, and in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p with the highest settings, the Arc B390 averaged 45 FPS.
That is a serious jump for integrated graphics. The Arc B390 replaces the 140T iGPU from Intel's previous Arrow Lake platform, and this does not look like a minor generational nudge. For a thin-and-light laptop, the move is aggressive enough to matter.

The Cyberpunk 2077 number is the cleanest example. At 1080p on the highest graphics preset, an average of 45 FPS is already playable by integrated GPU standards. Once XeSS image quality optimization is enabled, the frame rate rises to 63 FPS.
That second number is the important one. 60 FPS is the practical line where a game starts to feel comfortable rather than merely possible. Below that, camera movement, shooting, driving, and quick turns can all start to feel a little heavy. 45 FPS gets the game running. 63 FPS makes it feel much more usable.
The power data is just as interesting. When running Cyberpunk 2077, both the new and old laptops reportedly stayed around 60W total system power. In other words, the performance improved without an obvious increase in power draw. That is harder to achieve than simply pushing more watts through the chassis, especially in a thin-and-light design where heat usually becomes the limiting factor very quickly.
Notebookcheck's broader game comparisons also show the 2026 Prestige 16 clearly ahead of the 2025 model across multiple mainstream games. In some cases, the gap reaches 80%. That matters because it suggests Panther Lake is not just tuned for one convenient benchmark. The new integrated graphics appear to bring wider gains across the kinds of games people actually test on laptops.
The buying advice is fairly simple. If you want a thin-and-light laptop that can occasionally handle AAA games, the Arc B390 looks worth waiting for. The benefit should be especially clear for players willing to use XeSS, since the jump from 45 FPS to 63 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 is not subtle.
But this still does not turn integrated graphics into a replacement for a discrete GPU laptop if your priority is high-refresh competitive play. The Arc B390 can get on the field now. That does not mean it is ready to win every match.
The bigger point is that Intel seems to be moving in the right direction. Gaming on thin-and-light laptops has often been held back by inconsistent frame rates and tight power limits. If shipping Panther Lake machines can maintain this level of performance, both PC handhelds and thin-and-light laptops should become more interesting. Players may not have to look only at discrete graphics machines anymore.
