Saros Cycle is estimated to have sold 415000 copies on PS5, though its market performance remains hard to pin down. According to Alinea Analytics, the Sony-exclusive action game from Housemarque, released earlier this year, currently sits at about 415000 units sold. Sony still has not shared official sales data, and in Alinea’s 2026 Sony first-party sales ranking, Saros Cycle is currently sixth.
What stands out is not just that 415000 feels modest. It’s the company that number keeps. On Alinea’s list, the games ahead of Saros Cycle are not simply this year’s newer releases. Several are older Sony titles still selling at a steady pace, which makes the comparison tougher for a game that likely needed a strong launch to break through.

The clearest example is Gran Turismo 7. Even though it originally launched in 2022, it still sold 835000 copies in the first six months of 2026, more than double Saros Cycle. MLB The Show 26 sits at 756000, Spider-Man 2 has sold 699000 in 2026, and Astro Bot moved 601000 in the first half of the year, bringing its lifetime global total to about 4300000. Taken together, the chart suggests Sony’s catalog is still being driven by proven sellers.

At the top of the chart, Ghost of Yotei is further ahead. It launched late last year, yet still reached 1100000 copies sold in the first six months of 2026. That suggests Sony’s audience still responds quickly to big franchises and easy-to-read hooks. Saros Cycle is not lacking in discussion or visibility, but the current gap between buzz and actual sales still looks significant. With Sony continuing to withhold official numbers, that leaves third-party estimates as the best reference point available.
One other detail stands out. The chart does not mention Marathon or God of War: Son of Sparta on PS5, and the original analysis argues that may indicate both are currently behind Saros Cycle on that platform. There is an important limit here: Alinea’s data only covers PS5, and does not include Marathon sales on PC or Xbox. This is better read as a snapshot of Sony’s console ecosystem than a full cross-platform result.

The broader takeaway is fairly straightforward. Saros Cycle makes more sense to judge by its combat and its long-term support than by this sales race alone. Housemarque has long been good at making fast, hard-edged games with a distinct style, but personality alone does not guarantee sales. The market usually rewards games that keep selling over time. The next question is not its position on one chart, but whether Sony will release official numbers and whether Saros Cycle can build on this early start over time.
