“INZONE” Releases New Products in Rapid Succession — Is Sony Really Going All In on a Full Esports Ecosystem?
With this update to INZONE, my first impression was not “Sony has made a few more peripherals again,” but that it has finally clarified its direction. On April 14, Sony’s esports brand INZONE released multiple new pieces of hardware in one go, with a very clear target: esports players and hardcore gamers. Compared with its earlier positioning, which felt more like an addition to PS5 accessories, today’s INZONE has begun building toward a complete esports ecosystem.

Among this batch of new products, the most striking one is clearly the 27-inch monitor, the INZONE M10S II. It uses a QHD 1440p OLED panel and pushes the refresh rate straight to 540Hz. This specification is no longer just “good enough”; it is aimed squarely at top-tier FPS tournament scenarios. For players of VALORANT, CS-style titles, and high-speed competitive games, the operational feedback and motion clarity brought by a high refresh rate are indeed among the upgrades that can be felt most immediately.

Another point worth discussing is the audio lineup. This time, Sony has introduced its first open-back wired gaming headset, the INZONE H6 Air, and the idea is quite interesting. Closed-back headsets emphasize immersion and isolation, while open-back designs lean more toward openness, a relaxed feel, and comfort during long sessions. They are especially suitable for players who train for extended periods and do not want to be tortured by a “stuffy, ear-pressing” experience. It may not be the standard answer that fits everyone, but at the very least, it shows that INZONE is beginning to segment different usage scenarios instead of only making one type of “mass-market esports headset.”

The collaboration side is also noteworthy. Sony is continuing to deepen its partnership with Fnatic, launching the INZONE Mouse-A esports mouse, as well as two gaming mouse pads, the INZONE Mat-F and Mat-D. The significance of this move is not just changing the color scheme and slapping on a team logo, but using the endorsement of a professional team to push “hardware specs” into a “real competitive scenario,” making the products easier for competitive players to accept.

At the same time, the true wireless noise-canceling gaming earbuds, INZONE Buds, have also added a new Glaze Purple colorway. It does not change the product’s positioning, but it will clearly broaden its audience, because many players now look not only at performance when choosing peripherals, but also at desk setup consistency and device recognizability. In recent years, esports peripherals have increasingly become like puzzle stages in platform games: performance, fit, appearance, collaborations, and ecosystem all matter. If even one piece is missing, it becomes difficult to form a complete experience.

If you ask me how to choose, I would give a very straightforward recommendation: heavy FPS players should pay close attention to the M10S II first, as the upgrade brought by this kind of high-refresh-rate OLED is the most obvious; users who spend long hours gaming with friends or training can focus on headsets like the H6 Air that emphasize wearing comfort; and if you are already a Fnatic fan, the co-branded mouse and mouse pads will offer more of a “unified desktop” satisfaction than simply replacing your headset. The most important change from Sony this time is not how powerful any single product is, but that INZONE is shedding the label of “PS5 accessory” and beginning to seriously compete for the core position on the PC esports desk.
