PS5 Official Price Hike Tomorrow! This Price Is More Painful Than Working Overtime on Weekends
Scrolled through the news on the subway and my heart sank—the prices have changed.
Work is exhausting during the week; I just rely on these happy moments on the weekend.
Sony is raising prices globally this time; the China mainland version takes effect on April 2nd.
The Slim Digital Edition is 3,900, and the Disc Edition at 4,300 feels a bit pricey.
The most expensive is the Pro version, jumping straight to 6,299 yuan.

With this money, you could order so many takeout meals or fill up your gas tank so many times.
For us office workers, this is equivalent to working two extra days.
Then again, with the heavy pressure on the global economy, rising costs are unavoidable.
It's even more exaggerated in the US; converted to RMB, it's indeed much more expensive.
Prices are rising in Japan too; it seems this is a serious across-the-board adjustment.
It's not easy for us workers to earn money; every penny needs to be spent wisely.
But then again, the saying "buy early, enjoy early" isn't without merit.
If you haven't bought one yet, you might need to think it over carefully now.
After all, with the buy-to-play model for games, a console price hike is like the entrance fee getting higher.
Handheld consoles are following suit with price hikes too; the cost of gaming during spare time is even higher.

Just think about playing a bit during your commute; you have to spend so much more budget now.
I suggest waiting for a sale, or getting a second-hand unit to tide you over is also a good option.
After all, weekend time is precious; you can't spend it all worrying about hardware prices.
The game is the core; the console is just a tool. Don't put the cart before the horse.
Hope the next price drop comes soon, so we can play with a bit less financial stress.
