Twilight Blood Clan Test Goes Live With 8-Player Brawls, But Requires NS2

From Software has officially published the selection results for the The Duskbloods network test, and players can check their status on the application website. The test runs in five sessions from August 21 to August 24, 2026, includes PvPvE multiplayer for up to 8 players, and requires both a Nintendo Switch 2 console and an NSO membership.

Those requirements say a lot about the test. The Duskbloods is a new IP, not a casual open beta with a low barrier to entry, and From Software is aiming this round at players who already have Nintendo’s new hardware and its online subscription. The setup follows the studio’s usual logic: early access here comes with real platform requirements.

The premise is simple, but it has a clean hook. Players take on the role of the Duskbloods, people granted supernatural abilities by a special blood power, and fight over the Origin Blood. The gothic presentation is doing a lot of work, too. Ornate armor, a gray sky, and crows circling overhead give the game a readable silhouette and an immediately grim tone.

The obvious catch is access. You need a Nintendo Switch 2 and an NSO subscription before you can even participate, which makes this a test for already-committed players. For anyone without the hardware, or anyone who is only mildly curious, watching streams may be the practical choice. An 8-player PvPvE test can sound tempting, but this one is built around a specific console, subscription, and time window.

From the current footage, the art direction looks distinctive enough to explain the interest. If you did get selected, the window from August 21 to August 24, 2026 is the one to remember. If not, livestreams will probably be the next best option.
