King of the Battlefield 1.0 launches with 40% off this WWII strategy title
WWII Strategy Game Exits Early Access with 100+ Vehicles and 40% Launch Discount
King of the Battlefield: The Great Patriotic War hits version 1.0 today, bringing its Eastern Front-focused top-down strategy gameplay out of early access. The launch coincides with the first GameGeeker Publisher Sale, slashing the price to $28.80—a 40% discount that makes this one of the more accessible entries in the WWII strategy space.

The game's main draw is sheer hardware variety. Over 100 controllable vehicles and weapon systems span the Eastern Front arsenal—T-34 tanks, Tiger heavy tanks, anti-tank rifles, field artillery, rocket launchers, and air support. The cartoon low-poly art style keeps the visual tone light, but the tactical depth remains intact. Developer attention went into recreating dozens of iconic Eastern Front vehicles from both Soviet and German forces.

Version 1.0 centers on campaign content. The Soviet perspective campaign is now live, starting with the Battle of Moscow and following the Red Army's grueling Eastern Front push. A German storyline is planned for future updates, which should let players experience both sides of the conflict. Beyond campaigns, the update adds historical scenarios like Pearl Harbor and the Normandy landings, plus a roguelike skirmish mode that broadens the gameplay mix.

The design leans hardcore. Hundreds of equipment options force players to adapt loadouts to battlefield conditions—field artillery range, tank breakthrough power, infantry mobility all factor into unit composition decisions. Planned custom modes or Steam Workshop support could extend replay value significantly.

At $28.80, the value proposition is solid for strategy fans. If you're into WWII history and tactical problem-solving, King of the Battlefield delivers. Getting Eastern Front, Western Front, and Pacific theater battles in one package isn't common, and the price makes it an easy recommendation for the genre.
