Transport Fever 3 will launch on September 29, 2026, Urban Games and Paradox Interactive have announced. The transport simulation will release on PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with the PC version coming to GOG for the first time, alongside Steam and the Epic Games Store. Preorders are now open for the Standard, Deluxe, and series-first Collector's Editions.

The Collector's Edition is priced firmly in AAA territory. The Standard Edition costs $49.99/€49.99 on PC and $59.99/€59.99 on consoles. The Deluxe Edition costs $64.99/€64.99 on PC and $74.99/€74.99 on consoles, while the Collector's Edition is priced at $119.99/€119.99 and limited to 10,000 copies worldwide.

That positioning is understandable. Transport Fever 2 has sold millions of copies, giving Urban Games a large audience of committed players who may pay for physical collectibles and additional in-game content.

The Deluxe Edition is particularly substantial, offering 11 legendary vehicles, 2 architectural wonders, 3 handcrafted maps, and 4 types of wildlife. The architectural wonders include the Eiffel Tower. Players who preorder will also receive three exclusive rewards: the Queen Mary ocean liner, the Great Pyramid of Giza, and an Asian elephant.

The Great Pyramid of Giza and the Asian elephant speak directly to two things sandbox players value: landmarks and wildlife. They should also give players more options for building custom scenarios.

The Collector's Edition is the franchise's first physical collector's package. It includes a statue based on the key art, a 200-page hardcover art book, a themed card game, a music box, and other merchandise.

At $119.99/€119.99, it is expensive for most players. For longtime Transport Fever fans, however, the statue and art book offer genuine display value. The more immediate concern is availability: with only 10,000 copies worldwide, the first batch is likely to sell quickly.

On PC, the game will be available through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions also bring the sandbox transport simulation to console players, making it a console alternative to construction and city-building games such as Cities: Skylines.

Urban Games and Paradox are also offering a loyalty discount. Anyone who owns Transport Fever 2 can receive a 10% loyalty discount when preordering or purchasing the Standard or Deluxe Edition of Transport Fever 3 on the same platform where they own Transport Fever 2. The offer remains available until 14 days after launch.

The choice is straightforward. Choose the Standard Edition if you want to test the game first. The Deluxe Edition is the better fit for players who enjoy experimenting with vehicles and maps: it costs only $15 more than the Standard Edition while adding a substantial collection of reusable assets. The Collector's Edition is best reserved for dedicated fans and merchandise collectors. If you miss the first 10,000 copies, the physical edition will likely command a premium on the secondary market.
