Valorant Mobile poster blunder uses wrong player's signature, fans catch it instantly
Riot posted a VALORANT Mobile Beijing showmatch poster on April 25 featuring brand ambassador Roy Wang—with the wrong signature next to his photo. Fans caught it instantly: the handwriting didn't match Wang's stroke patterns at all, suggesting a designer pulled the wrong file from an asset library.

The fix made it worse. At 20:12, Riot edited the Weibo post by deleting the signature area entirely instead of swapping in the correct one. The reposted version still carried no signature, with only minor wording tweaks to the promotional copy. By 22:38, an official apology acknowledged "staff oversight leading to incorrect information" and promised to optimize review processes—but mentioned nothing about remaking the poster or any concrete remedy.

This kind of sloppiness shouldn't happen in a major publisher's official marketing. FPS titles live or die by reputation and polish. When you can't even get your celebrity endorser's signature right, players start wondering what other corners you're cutting. Mobile is brutally competitive, and VALORANT Mobile needs more than PC brand recognition to survive—it needs execution that doesn't fumble the basics.
