World of Tanks' 2026 Dragon Boat Festival Brings Two New Tanks and Dual Event Tracks

World of Tanks has launched its 2026 Dragon Boat Festival events, debuting two new vehicles simultaneously: the C-line Tier IX premium medium tank "Zi Qiang" and the Tier X assault heavy tank BZT-70. The first event, "Zongxiang Fuman," runs from June 18 at 10:00 to June 25 at 00:00, while the second, "Yulong Chengfeng," starts June 16 at 10:00 and closes on June 23 at 10:00.

The Tier IX "Zi Qiang" wields a dual-burst magazine with a 0.75-second short reload time, averaging 3300 damage per minute—strong output for a Tier IX premium. The magazine setup gives players more flexibility around positioning: fire, relocate, repeat. For drivers who prefer hit-and-run tactics, the burst potential opens up more opportunities to strike than a traditional single-shot setup.

The Tier X BZT-70 takes a different approach entirely. This assault heavy tank delivers 850 single-shot damage, with HE rounds punching up to 1200 damage. Paired with -8 degrees of gun depression and thick frontal armor, it holds ground considerably better than the Zi Qiang. Where the Zi Qiang dances around the map, the BZT-70 plants itself and dares opponents to push.

Beyond the vehicles themselves, the dual-track event structure deserves attention. "Zongxiang Fuman" lets players spend gold to open windows, guaranteeing war bonds and resources while offering a shot at the Zi Qiang outright—for players who'd rather spend gold than grind. "Yulong Chengfeng," meanwhile, rewards holiday task completion with "Zongzi" currency exchangeable at the token store for the Tier VIII premium tank "Revenge," the legendary Tier VI TOG II, and additional items. The grind path works for players who prefer earning rewards over spending.

Is daily task completion worth the time, or does direct gold spending offer better value? For most players, it depends on how much you play.

The Dragon Boat Festival event serves two distinct player fantasies. The Zi Qiang rewards aggressive, mobile players who thrive on burst damage, while the BZT-70 suits those who want to anchor positions with raw firepower and armor. If clip-based guns are your thing, the Zi Qiang will likely win you over. If you prefer pushing into enemy lines with a heavy gun and thick plating, the BZT-70's numbers deserve a look in the training room.
