Halo Limited-Edition Xbox Damaged, Repair Still Uncertain

A foreign r/xbox user says a Halo-edition Xbox One was stabbed and soaked with tea after he confronted an ex about cheating. He posted photos of the damage, said he had already done a basic surface clean, and is now trying to figure out whether the console can still be repaired.

The poster says he has already emailed professionals for advice, and he is honest that the odds of fixing it may be only 0.001%. Even so, he wants to pay for the repair attempt himself and film the whole process. He also points out that the key damaged capacitor is inexpensive, so if the console cannot be saved, the loss should not be too severe.

Hundreds of comments focused first on whether he was safe and congratulated him for getting out of the relationship; only after that did people start offering practical advice. Some suggested buying a used console for parts, others recommended getting soldering gear, and a few went as far as suggesting a 3D-printed replacement shell. Several commenters also told him to file a police report and then seek compensation through a lawsuit.

The joke name EXbox drew plenty of likes, but the post is really about a repair project more than a practical upgrade. The poster already owns an Xbox Series X with a Hyperkin Duchess, so fixing this Xbox One looks more like a hobby than a necessity. He still plans to shoot a full repair video and keep posting updates as the work goes on.
