Battlefield 6 has confirmed that its High-Value Targets update goes live on June 30, 2026. According to the official Season 3 rollout, it brings the Contracts system back to multiplayer, across both standard multiplayer and the free RedSec mode.

The update’s shape is already clear. Blast Point brought in a new map, a battlefield brawl mode, and the return of classic Elimination, while High-Value Targets continues Season 3’s faster rollout.

At its core, Contracts is a temporary objective system designed to speed up matches. Players can pick up these tasks from enemies they’ve killed, then cash in rewards after completing them, though the exact rewards have not been revealed. It comes straight from the Battle Orders mechanic in Call of Duty: Ghosts, and it should make matches feel more pressured and less routine than standard multiplayer.

The update does more than bring back a mode. It also adds a dedicated menu to simplify event task tracking, while fixing a range of issues at the same time. Weapons are also getting a broad tuning pass, covering recoil, handling, spread, limb damage, muzzle velocity, and drag. Vehicles are being rebalanced too. Thermal smoke grenades will no longer negate C4 damage, rocket launchers will hit tanks and helicopters much harder, and the effectiveness of spawn-provided auto anti-air will be reduced.

Taken together, this looks less like a small event and more like a real pace shift for Battlefield 6. For returning players, the reworked Contracts system should make public matches feel more chaotic. For new players, the simultaneous RedSec rollout makes it easier to jump in.

If you care most about gun feel and vehicle balance, the real verdict will have to wait until the patch lands. But from the scope alone, it’s clear the team is aiming for a looser, more chaotic game on June 30, 2026.
