I caught the Xiao Qiao trailer for Code Name: Three Kingdoms - Rise of the Dragon today and immediately called my roommate over. That's Xiao Lu from Perfect Tease, right? Zou Jiajia in period costume as Xiao Qiao—the vibe is spot-on.

The game runs on Unreal Engine 5 as a live-action FMV title. The roster is stacked: Cai Zhaoji (played by Zhong Chenyao), Zhen Mi (Wang Xingchen), Zou Su (Qian Siyi), and other Three Kingdoms beauties. Several actors appeared in both Perfect Tease and Black Myth: Wukong. My roommate joked they just assembled a cast reunion from trending games.

Xiao Qiao's line in the trailer—"Wait three days for you, my lord; Xiao Qiao's heart is yours, no resistance"—flooded the comments with "who can resist this." But what I actually care about is whether the game supports multiplayer. If it's just solo story mode, that's a letdown. Live-action FMV games lose half their appeal if you can't roast the plot with friends.

Live-action FMV titles are multiplying, but the ones that blow up still rely on social features. Perfect Tease went viral because people played and laughed together. If Code Name: Three Kingdoms - Rise of the Dragon is just about watching cutscenes and admiring faces, the hype will fade fast. Hoping the devs add some multiplayer mode—even co-op story viewing would work. Otherwise, only one person in our dorm will bother buying it.
