Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLC getting delisted? Veteran players shouldn’t panic yet

According to Capcom’s official notice, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will restructure its storefronts starting at 8:00 a.m. Beijing time on June 25, 2026. From that point, the Deluxe Edition and selected paid DLC will be removed from sale on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, while the major expansion Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is set to launch on October 9, 2026. The goal is simple: make room for that expansion and make buying into the game easier for new players.

The key point is that this only affects new purchases, not content people already own. Players who already bought the Deluxe Edition or affected DLC, including the A Boon for Adventurers - New Journey Pack and Rift Crystal packs, will keep everything and can continue using it permanently as normal. Capcom says the change is meant to lower the barrier for new players and simplify the path to the expansion.

For new players, the practical upside is clear. The standard edition of Dragon’s Dogma 2 will remain on sale, and the base game’s price will be lowered at the same time. If you were waiting for a cheaper way in, this is it: the base game without the pricier Deluxe bundle or extra add-ons.

For existing players, the upgrade path is clear. Users on PS5, Xbox, and Steam will be able to purchase Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen separately and continue from their existing save data. That is important, because expansions are easier to recommend when they do not force a full restart.

Capcom says Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen adds the frozen new region Norgan, new enemies including ice giants, a Lost Ritual dungeon feature, and a new storyline built around the new ally Ael and an ancient relic. Capcom is also releasing a free update alongside it. The base game will receive quality-of-life improvements including the Eternal Ferrystone and expanded storage capacity. They are not the flashiest additions, but they are the kind players will feel every time they log in.

For anyone still on the fence, the takeaway is pretty simple. If you only want the cheapest, simplest way in, wait for the standard edition price cut.
