Fire Emblem: 万缕千丝’s Four Routes Could Take Nearly 20 Hours
According to VGC, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave could be the biggest game in the series to date. It launches on September 17, and even its first part contains four independent main-story routes, each told from a different protagonist’s perspective.
That scale comes from more than the world map. The first part is divided into four routes that can each be played independently, giving every protagonist a complete backstory and storyline. Completing the first part of just one route takes nearly 20 hours, and the story has not even reached its second phase by then.
These are substantial routes within the broader game, not brief branches attached to a single campaign. Players can switch between perspectives as they progress, revealing events and context that remain outside another protagonist’s view.

VGC compares the experience to playing four separate games. That structure gives players two clear options: follow one protagonist through a complete personal story, or switch characters at key moments to reconstruct the larger narrative from different viewpoints.
The game also gives players plenty to manage between story chapters. Its central city hub offers extensive schedule management and interaction options, while the huge world map supports resource gathering and visits to towns and temples. Players can head straight toward the main story, or explore the edges of the map and pursue its various side activities.

The game includes a large dungeon inspired by Fire Emblem Echoes, along with a substantial amount of fully voiced dialogue. Together with the multiple routes, these features contribute to an experience that demands more time than a typical single-campaign structure.
Players who want to rush through the main story may find this scale overwhelming. The game is better suited to those who enjoy piecing together character relationships over time and choosing their own balance between schedules, exploration, and battles. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave releases on September 17.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave offers more than a single tactical campaign. With four independent routes, a broad world map, and substantial side content, its overall scope and replayability could mark a new high for the series.
