Chinese GPU maker scores first Microsoft certification as Lixuan 7G100 tackles Black Myth Wukong
Lisuan Technology just became China's first—and the world's fourth—GPU company to secure Microsoft's WHQL certification. That's not a participation trophy; it's a signal that domestic graphics cards might finally be ready for real builds.

The 7G100 series caught my eye at the expo running Black Myth: Wukong live. At 1080P high settings, it held steady above 70fps—performance that genuinely rivals the RTX 4060. The Lisuan eXtreme variant scored 26800 in FireStrike and 2268 in Steel Nomad, while the RTX 4060 in comparable mode sits at 2302. The gap is razor-thin.

What makes this more impressive is the tech underneath. Lisuan built the 7G100 on their fully self-developed TrueGPU architecture with a proprietary instruction set, fabricated on 6nm process. This isn't a rebadged reference design—they own the compute core and instruction layer. For domestic hardware, that level of foundational autonomy matters.
I appreciate Lisuan's approach here. They didn't launch with claims of dethroning NVIDIA. Instead, they focused on nailing Windows compatibility first, making sure users can actually deploy these cards without driver hell. That pragmatism beats vaporware promises every time.
If you're running Wukong or need local AI model inference, the 7G100 Lisuan eXtreme is worth watching. It supports mainstream large models and handles AIPC workloads, likely at a better price than international equivalents at this performance tier. Official pricing isn't out yet, but given the certification and benchmark results, it's worth waiting for the retail launch.
Domestic GPUs have disappointed more often than not over the years. But Lisuan's showing here feels different—not because of patriotic appeals, but because the hardware actually delivers. That's the standard I want to see from Chinese components: earn trust through capability, not sentiment.
