Nintendo leaker Nash Weedle says French developer Slocap is preparing three games for Switch 2: a port of Rematch, a port or upgraded version of Sifu, and a still-early new project. The claim is unofficial, but it is not random. Rematch launched in June 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S without a Switch version, while Sifu already came to Switch in 2022. If accurate, this looks less like one late port and more like a small Switch 2 plan.
The through line is simple: all three projects are reportedly aimed at Switch 2. Rematch would bring Slocap’s newer competitive game, Sifu would revisit its established action hit, and the third project is still unknown.

Rematch is the clearest test case. It launched on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S in June 2025, but it skipped the original Switch. A direct move to Switch 2 would make sense if Slocap wanted the stronger hardware from the start. This is not a traditional football simulation. It is an arcade-style football game where each player controls only one footballer, using a third-person view in 5v5 matches.
That design makes performance, camera feel, and online responsiveness more important than they might be in a slower sports game. It also has momentum behind it: Rematch sold well and won Sports Game of the Year at the 2026 D.I.C.E. Awards. If Switch 2 needs a fresh competitive sports title early in its life, Rematch could fill that slot: quick, sharp, and easy to understand.
Sifu is a more complicated case. The game already arrived on Switch in 2022, so Nintendo players have had access to its close-quarters action and aging-based progression system for some time. According to the rumor, the Switch 2 version would be a paid upgrade, not a free update. That is not automatically a problem, but Slocap would need to show exactly what players are paying for.
For a paid upgrade to feel reasonable, players will want to see specific benefits: better visuals, stronger frame rate, faster loading, or some kind of meaningful collector value. Slocap is also reportedly considering a physical Switch 2 edition of Sifu, which could matter to players who like having action games on the shelf rather than only in a digital library.

For players, the rumor splits cleanly. If you have never played Sifu, waiting for firm Switch 2 details is the safest move. Buying the older Switch version now could become awkward if the new version arrives with a paid upgrade path shortly afterward.
If you have already finished Sifu on Switch, the upgrade will need to justify itself. Ideally, it should feel less like another purchase for the same game and more like a reason to play again, backed by real technical gains. For Rematch players, the better approach is to watch the server and matchmaking performance around launch. In a 5v5 competitive game, feel and matchmaking health often matter more than awards when it comes to whether people stick with the game.

The third project is the least defined but still worth noting. Slocap is said to have a brand-new game in early development, with Switch 2 listed as one of its target platforms. There are no confirmed details about its genre, timing, price, or final platform list.
For now, every Switch 2 detail here remains unconfirmed. Neither Nintendo nor Slocap has officially announced dates, pricing, or what each version includes for these rumored releases. Still, the reported pattern is worth watching. If Slocap really brings football, kung fu, and a new project to Switch 2, it would not look like a single bet on one hit. It would look more like a planned early-platform spread across action and competitive play.
Until Nintendo or Slocap says something directly, cautious interest is the sensible stance. Keep expectations modest, keep some money unspent, and keep an eye on what gets confirmed next.
