Toei Games Debuts HINO at TGS With Three New Titles

Toei Games will make its TOKYO GAME SHOW debut from September 17 to 21, 2026, bringing three PC-bound projects with it: HINO, KILLA, and DEBUG: Nephimi. Each booth is themed to its game’s world, the company says, and every title will get a special TGS demo playable on the show floor. Each director is expected to be on the floor when schedules allow, talking directly to players.

Dong Ying Games has released three new titles: Hino, Debug Nephemee, and an unnamed game featuring a pink-haired character in a gothic setting.

For players who treat an 80-hour JRPG as a light commitment, the lineup is already worth bookmarking. Toei Games—launched by Toei after 75 years in film and animation—wants to turn its story-heavy properties into actual games. That pitch carries more weight when the parent company has spent decades building narratives people actually remember.

Of the three, DEBUG: Nephimi is the most striking on paper. Its combat is described as a multi-task battle system where you control four "pages" at once, a hook that recalls the dressphere switching of Final Fantasy X-2. If the UI can keep that idea readable instead of overwhelming, turn-based fans will have something fresh to dig into.

KILLA goes the other way: its demo is TGS-only, so there’s no Steam build for now. The setup—nine suspects whose names contain “LA”—reads like a Danganronpa-style mystery board, a solid hook for anyone who likes their JRPGs to double as murder mysteries.

The wider Steam demo rollout is split by date: DEBUG: Nephimi lands on September 10, 2026, while HINO follows on September 17, 2026, matching the show’s opening day. On the convention floor, Toei is also running a custom claw machine with a TGS 2026-exclusive mug available in limited quantities each day—a small but effective lure for anyone already eyeing the merchandise.

All three titles are confirmed for PC via Steam, with release dates still undecided. The real question is whether Toei’s narrative DNA actually reaches the gameplay. If it does, they could be one of the more interesting additions to next year’s JRPG calendar. Without release dates, this is still a “wait and see” slate—but if the design matches the source material, the wait will be easier to swallow.
