Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is set for August 27, 2026, with preload beginning on August 25, according to PlayStation Game Size. The PS5 version is listed at about 60.450GB, and the current version number is 01.001.000. Developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Entertainment, it is the third game in the A Plague Tale series, a prequel set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem, and is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Those numbers make this look like a standard current-gen release: 01.001.000, 60.450GB, and preload two days before launch.

Pricing has surfaced as well. The PS5 Hong Kong store lists the game at HK$468, the standard edition is priced at $59.99, and the Steam China preorder price is RMB 199.

The preorder bonus is more substantial than a routine cosmetic bundle. The Legacy Pack includes the Sword of Minos, Alec's Pendant, and a digital artbook of more than 30 pages, making it feel aimed more at longtime fans and collectors.

The emphasis is less on gear bonuses and more on atmosphere, art, and the series' expanding world.

The catch is that the PC version is still short on hard details. The Steam page still lists the system requirements as "Coming soon", while the Xbox store has not updated the final install size and is still showing a placeholder of about 341.39MB.

That leaves potential buyers without key information, especially players hoping for a stable PC experience.

Its confirmed day-one arrival on Xbox Game Pass is the clearest upside for subscribers, since they will not need to pay upfront just to sample it. Based on what is available now, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy looks best suited to series fans and players who prioritize narrative-driven experiences. Everyone else would be better served waiting for the PC requirements, reviews, and a clearer sense of how its missions actually flow before deciding whether to pay RMB 199.
