Is Bunny Garden 2's 46.8 Yuan Early Access Launch Worth It?
《生肖山》, a 国风 (Chinese-style) roguelike deckbuilder from Mystic Road and Phoenix Games, has hit Steam Early Access at 52 RMB, with a 10% launch discount dropping it to 46.8 RMB. The setup is simple: you play as the 熊猫行者, climbing 生肖圣山 to face the supreme trials of the twelve zodiacs.

The first thing that hits is the art. It swaps the genre's usual dark-fantasy palette for ink-wash backgrounds, bamboo thickets, and a muted 国风 color scheme. It looks more like a moving ink painting than a typical deckbuilder, and it knows exactly who it's for.

The mechanical sell is the Yin-Yang dual card system. Rather than locking you into a single archetype, the deck splits into Yin and Yang schools that can be freely mixed. The developers call it a way to "break the limits of traditional single-deck play" — high strategic depth, at least on paper. Veterans of the genre will find room to experiment, but newcomers should expect to lose a few runs before the synergies click. The risk is that dual-school deckbuilding can easily become a novelty if the card pool is shallow, so right now the depth claim is a promise, not a proven feature.

The creature design is where the art direction earns its credibility. The team mined the Shan Hai Jing, using its beasts and folklore as the foundation. That gives the card roster a sharper cultural identity than another Tolkien-by-numbers bestiary, and for anyone burned out on Western high-magic, the appeal is obvious.
At 46.8 RMB, the Early Access version is a low-risk bet if you already care about deckbuilders and Chinese aesthetics. If you want a finished package, wait. Early Access is exactly what the label says: balance patches, content drops, and a work-in-progress.

Realistically, Slay the Spire still defines the roguelike-card space. 《生肖山》 is gambling that ink-wash art and zodiac mythology can carve out its own lane, but the real test is whether post-launch updates can deepen the Yin-Yang system beyond its opening pitch.
